Default Xbox HD DVD player- secure hdcp link lost while playing Paramount movies...

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

I just got a new Xbox 360 with the hdmi port on the back, prior to that I had been using component cables on my 1080p tv.

The hd dvds would output to 1080i only, but otherwise would play fine with no issues.

However I noticed once I switched over to the hdmi cable certain movies would lose picture for a split second and go black, with the secure hdcp link lost and then secure hdcp link restored message popping up on the screen.

The odd thing is this ONLY happens with paramount hd-dvds. It happens on my Transformers disc and I just got Beowolf and it does it with this disc too, but none of my other discs from other studios.

I hoped there would be a fix in the latest xbox update but its still doing the same thing.

Anyone have a workaround for this?

it's a handshake issue. Try a different HDMI cable,,,,,or go back to component.

I have seen this behavior randomly on my X360 with HDMI cable. Seems to occur only on some HD DVD movies. I'm guessing there's a bug in X360 handling the HDCP like it has to redo the handshaking every so often when certain movies require it. Since Microsoft has stopped supporting HD DVD, the bug will not be fixed. With X360 games, it never does that. So, it can't be the HDMI cable.
