Default HD-A35 or HD-XA2?

From what I gather, these are the best-of-the-best HD-DVD players out there. I'm interested in getting one, but was wondering if there is any reason to prefer one over the other?

I already own an HD-A3, but am looking to upgrade to the HDMI 1.3 and other features available on the A35 or XA2.

I've seen good deals on them on eBay, and just wondering if I should prefer one over the other, or just look for the best "package" deal?

Thanks,

The XA2 is the cream of the crop which has exceptional upscaling abilities as well as a few features the A35 doesn't. If you can get a good deal, I say go for the XA2.

The XA2 or Onkyo HD DVD players are the best you can get IMO. The Reon Chipset is 1 big reason. The A35 would be the 3rd pick but still a very nice player. The only advantages I would give to the A35 over the Xa2 is sleeker look and a bit faster load/startup times.

Thanks!

Are all of the Onkyos as good, or are there good and not-quite-as-good players from Onkyo?

Onkyo only made one model and it is just about the same as the XA2.

There's one of those on eBay right now, the auction is right now just over $15.00 with 5 days to go.

The unit is in very good shape but has not got the remote nor the owner's manual.

I have no idea how hard it would be to get an remote that works with it (universal or maybe another HD DVD remote)?
