Default Pany BD30, Onkyo 606 and TrueHD

I just got a Onkyo 606 and a Pany BD30. I am not sure if I am getting the TrueHD Dolby or DTS-HD from my blueray discs.

I do have the truehd lit up on my 606 display, but I am not sure if I am really getting it or not. I sort of expected to see trueHD to show up in the listening modes but it does not.

So I have the dolby and DTS set up for direct.

I did have to play with the BD 30 to select bitstream before the truehd dolby showed up on the BD30 display.

So... If I have the truehd showing in the display... do I have it? Shouldn't it also show up in listening modes on the 606?

Wrong section. There is a Blu-ray player section right above this section for this post.

How new is that Onkyo receiver model? Is it an older model? If it is an older model then it wouldn't decode ANY HD audio soundtracks.

It replaces the 605. Came out sometime this year.

Thanks for the info. Didn't they just come out with the 605 about 7 months ago? Damn they are changing models so damn fast in this industry there is no way to keep up with the latest and greatest.

The short answer is yes. Do you have a 7.1 speaker setup?
