My local Best Buy has had 30% of all their HD DVDs for about a week now. So their 24.99 movies, which is their most common price, are now 17.49. This is about the same price as Amazon once you factor in shipping.

Just picked up a couple titles last week when I was in BB, not a bad gig. But many of those same titles (and many more) you can find on Amazon for $12.99 or so. A few good ones as low as $11.95. And that is with free super saver shipping as long as your order is over $25. So just buy more than 1 and your shipping will be free.

Word on the street is that BB will have major price reductions on HD DVD this saturday or next week. So far just a rumor, though.

Just picked up an A3 from BB for $59.99! Will use that to replace one of my SD dvd players.

On the BB website they had many hd dvds for $10.49. I went to my local BB in Florida and picked out 20 hd dvds some of which were $10.49 on the BB website and some of which were priced higher. I went to customer service to get them to price match their website on the ones that were $10.49. The manager, maybe because she didn't want to look up each one, just gave me all 20 for $10.49 each. I would have gone to get more, but didn't want to push it. Hopefully, BB will have a major clearance soon.
