Default Just bought A XBOX 360 HD DVD Player, Did I make a good choice?

I am was thinking about either getting a PS3 for Blu Ray, or Buying the Xbox 360 HD DVD Player, Oh and the movies that they offer for free are not that good. Well sense the player went on sale I decided to get it, I came with King Kong, I have a Olivia 32 Inch LCD TV, Not the best TV, but the King Kong looked great on it, Please tell me what you think? Did I make the right choice?

Thanks Brian

I thoutht the add-on was great. It depends on what you like. I sold mine to a friend in July when I bought the A2. All of my equiptment is in an Entertainment center and a lot of times when we watch movies with my young daughter, I need to keep the doors of the entertainment center closed. Due to the heat problems of the 360, I didn't like having my 360 on when watching movies...especially in a closed cabinet. My friend doesn't have his stored in a cabinet (or young kids), so it was perfect for him........ Figure the cost of the movies you'll get makes the player almost free. And, you saved about $270, so down the road, you can decide if you still want a PS3 and be "format neutral".

I've had the add-on since November 2006 and love it. I use it with an HTPC.

As long as you are happy with your choice then you made the right choice. No one can say for sure which is the better choice, as it all comes down to preference. Both formats are a viable option.

As for the quality of the 360 add on, I have not once been displeased with it since I have owned it back in August. So as far as a player I feel it is a good one.

Let's see..

$130 for the add on.

$399 for the PS3.

Yup.. you made a good choice. Certainly its a great way to get started. You can always get a PS3 in the future after they drop the price again

I agree with the others.. Good choice. I've had the add on since it came out and love it. No issues at all. Plus when you are buying either just an add on or a PS3 the price difference is real dramatic. 130 for an HD movie player is a great deal and will get your feet wet with the 5 free movies. If you become addicted like some of us, then invest in BD.

Yes, you made a good choice. The add-on is a fine player, but the best thing is that it's cheaper than the alternatives. Congrats!
