If Blu Ray or HDDVD dies, does that mean their disks will be really cheap?

Haha, clever. Maybe in one of the future releases. But the whole time I had this old blow pops commercial from when I was a kid playing in my head. It was one where this little kid would always say "Sour Apple" as one of the flavors.

Sour Grapes are for Purple-Ray, that will be the follow up format after Green-Ray.

I also want to welcome you to the forum AlphaLog.

Nice post about green-ray. It made me laugh.

Green Ray won't cut it. It's wavelength is greater then Violet/Blue.

We need X-Ray - MUCH shorter than Ultra-Violet. I can see it now . . . lead lined Ultra-HD movie players.

Nonsense! It is not the PS3 that rocks. Instead it is The Phantom game system that rocks! You know, brought to you by those wonderful people over at Phantom Entertainment, formerly Infinium Labs. Especially with its newly implemented Green Ray DMD (Digital Movie Disc instead of Digital Video Disk to eliminate the impending lawsuit) drive!!! Booyah!

If you are going to go there, why stop... go for the Cosmic Ray Players... where you can have almost infinite layers! Just Think Of It......Every movie or television show broadcast sense the dawn of recorded entertainment on one very, very, very big disc! LOL

The good news is that if either format fails, their players should be worth a lot in 20 years or so. Has anyone searched for "betamax" on eBay lately? I've seen a few players for over $100. Vintage electronics collectors will be all over the failing format's players in some time.

He doesn't have on he has a slightly busted PS2, he is a dirt poor college student with a PS2, 15" LCD TV and a $29 POS computer (or that is what he has posted more or less).

He wishes he had a PS3 and hopes someday if it gets cheap enough he will buy one.
