You cant diss the HDMI availability anymore so now you have moved on to the false "1 gig" notion.

Whats next?

As I mentioned in another thread, it does not surprise me that the HDMI 360 was not mentioned in the keynote. The amount of stuff that microsoft is dishing out (including vista) the HDMI 360 is (in my opinion, and probably theirs) not as important as some of the other stuff covered in the keynote.

The whole keynote was about connectivity and progress, not hardware updates to the 360, that affect a very small percentage of users.

Not only that. Why even mention it when it won't be available until june...even if then? Why hurt 360 sales now? One thing is sure: M$ is covering all bases regarding HD and entertainment capabilities of 360. Sony has alot of catching up to do. Are they gonna have a press conference at CES?!?

Like Gideon said, it's not important enough to address in their keynote. Plus, I think M$ is aware that 360 fanboys will go nuts and complain all over the internet about how they got shafted. They'll try to slip the HDMI 360 under the radar.

This is like how Nintendo stopped manufacturing GC's w/ component outs. No one was really notified about it, but when the new buyers found out they were mighty pissed.

They have nothing cool to announce like M$'s new 3D maps. Which, by the way, is complete BS. I downloaded the thing and looked up my street but it was all 2D.

So sony is going to let M$ get the free hype and publicity at CES?!? Thats not a good move by them. Regarding the 3D map thing, like most M$ stuff, it probably works best using Vista and DX10. The demo of maps they showed was pretty slick. He was using his 360 controller to travel down the Strip in vega$
