OK so i have an xbox 360 HD-DVD player and i have been spending 3 days looking for torrents and downloading crap that doesn't even work to attempt to get my player working. Well on August 8 i finally found out how to Play and Watch all my HD-DVD's on my laptop. There is so many forums out there that have worthless stuff. I am running vista 64x bit Business just to be clear. Here i will show you in just 6 easy steps that you will be finally watching your Xbox HD-DVD's on your Full high def compatible Computer in minutes. It worked for me.
Ok so to the point: FIRST: 1) Plug in your HD-DVD player to your PC(laptop/desktop). Your computer should atomatically download the drivers needed though there will be a few that it doesn't. (DONT'T WORRY ABOUT THIS) 2) Then you need to download POWER DVD ULTRA from this link: [color="red"] http://w15.easy-share.com/11443771.html[/COLOR WHEN YOU GET TO THIS LINK MAKE SURE THAT IT HAS THIS AT THE TOP- You are requesting Cyberlink.PowerDVD.Ultra.Deluxe.v7.3.3516-DVT__9Down.COM.rar (96.6 MB) after you get here in the middle of the screen it will say "Type characters you see below:" type what it says in the box. If that link doesn't work try this one. This will be the original site link: http://www.9down.com/Cyberlink-PowerDVD-Ultra-Deluxe-v7-3-3516-Full-19951/ 3) When you have downloaded that next you need to down load a RAR file extractor. Just type this in to GOOGLE for a fine running APP: http://download.cnet.com/WinRAR/3000-2250_4-10007677.html Then you will need to find the file Cyberlink.PowerDVD.Ultra.Deluxe.v7.3.3516-DVT__9Down.COM that you just downloaded and extract it onto the desktop INSIDE A NEW FOLDER. 4) Then you will need to run the SETUP.exe file(which is the only setup file in the downloaded materials that you just downloaded) continue through the setup and you will reach the Near end. 5) Now place an HD-DVD into your Xbox 360 HD-DVD Drive and click PLAY. The movie will not play quite yet. A widow will POP up. Don't be alarmed or pissed like i was (jk) lol. IT will tell you that you need to get the latest drivers. Say YES. Continue to follow the steps it lays out. When you are finished with this up date EJECT the HD Drive and RE-INSERT the HD-DVD. THEN BOOOOM you NOW can watch all of your FULL 1080P HIGH DEF DVD's ENJOY!!!!!!!!! God Bless, Nathaniel Nicklas |

I ended up going w/ ArcSoft Total Media Theatre since it also allows playback in Windows Media Center, which I only use if I'm feelin froggy.
