Is one backup player enough?

There is the self feeding problem. You buy more players for backup, then feel the need to buy more content to play on them because you have so many players. Then when you buy more content for them, you worry about not having enough players as spares.

I would say 5 is enough, and you should start buying movies on BD whenever possible to end this cycle. And this is coming from a HD DVD fan.

I have about 65 Blu movies, but having been buying HD DVd's because some day in the not too distant future.....poof!

THere are no new HD DVD purchases in my future!

At this point the only HD movies I will buy are on BD unless it is a must have HD DVD title that is unlikely to be out on BD for a long time.

I picked up my third HD-DVD player and 4 movies at Circuit City. The movies are 1/2 off, although it is not advertised.

As far as buying new movies, I have an order in at Amazon for Twister and I Am Legend, probably the last two I will pick up. Estimated ship date is June 2nd (they will be shipped together).

My SD-DVD copy of Twister is a very poor transfer, so I didn't mind double dipping on this one. I cannot wait to see I am Legend.

Until I get a BD player, I am done buying movies.
