Default Bose 321 skipping

I have a Bose 321 surround sound that works perfect on 95 % of my DVDs but I have 6 or 7 that freeze and skip and sometimes say " unsupported format" I tried using a cleaning disc but it indicated "unsupported format" Any ideas why this is? Do I have a bad eye?

You should check for a firmware update.

On most pieces of electronic equipment there are periodic updates (firmware) that enable the equipment to read disc which is what error "unsupported format" means. contact Bose for info.

Are we talking DVDs or Blu-Ray disks here? How old is your 321 player and is it still under warranty? When it says "unsupported format" is this when you first try to play the disk or does part of it play and then you get the message?

That sound's more like a bad laser head or an alignment problem. Try your bad disks on someone else's player (or in your computer if it has DVD play capability) and if they play ok, you probably need your player serviced. Hope it's still under warranty.
