Dvd playback only !!!?

I let the player sit for like a year, and when I try to use it, it no longer works. It plays back CD's and DVD's ok, just wont play any of my HD-DVD's WTF !? Im so mad.

Last year I went a long time without playing my XBOX360, same scenario, DVDs would play, but the games would not. Im so damn mad right now. Ugh. Its a Toshiba HD-A20 by the way, this blows.

try cleaning the lens. It may be caked up with dust

You can try cleaning it as suggested and see what happens. Just be delicate. Try a firmware upgrade for shits and grins too. If no joy, there are a bunch of 360 HD DVD addon players on Ebay for around $25 or try snagging an A2 for around $40-$50..

Yea, I tried cleaning it. Such a weird thing, that both the HD DVD player and Xbox only plays DVD's.
