Complete list of HD DVD titles (exclusives shown in red)

Just out of interest, are you just basing it on "exclusive" to the US? As Bruce Almighty is already on Blu-ray in the UK as Buena Vista own the rights over here. I watched the the other day.

think I'll import the US HD DVD so it matches my Evan Almighty.

Those in red are exclusive everywhere, and in purple just in the US. Thanks for the update on Bruce Almighty, I'll change the color to purple on my next update. Let me know if you see anything else not noted that's out on Blu on your side of the pond.

Glad that some people can appreciate it. I've been wanting to do this for some time and I finally got around to it, when I had the idea to incorporate exclusives in the complete list (by putting them in red or purple). That way the list will be more of interest and would be updatable.

so it looks like Universal is the studio slacking off the most huh. That is a nice list now I don't feel like my purchase was a waste of money. Thanks man.

Yeah, Universal doesn't appear to be concerned with catching Blu-ray up to what they did on HD DVD. No reason to be either, it's business, and they'll choose titles based on sales and profits and not what they did on HD DVD. At the pace they're at, they should catch up in about 3 more years and a few may never made it on Blu-ray. Here is what they've done so far by month:

148 HD DVD titles to start with:

7-08: 3
8-08: 4
9-08: 6
10-08: 3
11-08: 2
12-08: 2
1-09: 5
2-09: 2
3-09: 6
4-09: 0
5-09: 5
6-09: 3

That's only a total of 41 movies in 12 months time, or 28% of the total. The remaining could go even slower, since the pickings get slimmer and slimmer as fewer of the action or other appealing movies for BD are left.

Universal have just announced Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz for Blu-ray, thats 2 of HD DVDs finest exclusives gone

then to add insult to injury Warner Bros saw it fit to announced Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory too.

Sad day for us HD DVD owners enjoying their exclusive HD content.

That won't stop me from watching all three of these movies on HD DVD.
