I recently ran across the season 1 package and it is being advertised as HD DVD can anyone confirm or deny that this BBC show was released or is being sold or has been sold in this format.....

Unless I missed something Both Torchwood and Dr. Who are running abbreviated seasons this year.....one is going to be six episodes to bring in the new Dr. and Torchwood is supposed to be doing a 24 style four episode run this year.....

The BBC show that I really enjoy is Spooks (MI5) that was on A&E for a time.....

So far all is quiet on the news of a high def release for Spooks. The BBC are supposedly committing to High Def more this year though, so hopefully it will be in the upcoming releases soon along with Hotel Babylon Series 2

Season 3 Children of Earth was shown in the UK last week and will be shown in the US next week. Russell T. Davies is stated as saying on several website that series 4 is ready to go and is dependent on how the third series performs plus he is willing to do the show for the next ten years.

I hate to disagree with the crazy russian, but my wife and I loved "Children". the acting was superb, the sets and story line first rate and nice Dolby EX. It upconverted (SD) nicely on my Panny BD 35. Simular to "24", the action is non stop spread over 5 days. If you enjoy the BBC productions, this was excellent. Tons of twists and turns.
