My sister bought a Roku 2 at my suggestion a few weeks ago. She
and her husband are in love with the little box. They have over 80 movies in there Netflix instant que that they intend to watch. The picture and sounds are great. There are generally 3 models, so make sure you get the HD one's. The cheapest one around $59 does not have hd content. |

I looked at Roku but purchased the Logitech Revue Google TV, for my needs, it blows Roku away, it isn't even close. I love the keyboard for any internet searches. I don't have a Netflix account but I do use it with Amazon Prime Instant Video. I spent a few hours adding programs to my queue from the various sites with free streaming and have spent the last few weeks watching the programs. For me, Google TV along with TiVo with OTA, has allowed me to avoid the monthly cable bill. I also think with all of the various companies behind Google TV, Intel, Google, Sony, Logitech, etc. the upside potential is far greater.

The first one was $50 after Logitech coupon, the second was $87 from Circuit City.com after Ebates 3.5% and $89 sales price. The box is $99 everywhere I checked recently and any Logitech coupons I have seen since exclude the Revue, Logitech loses money at the $99 price, a lot of money. A big update is expected in a few days, to Android 3.1 and it will be interesting to see how well it all works. I love Google TV at the current operating system and at the prices I paid.

The Rokus are great bang for the buck. I have a HTPC with Play-On and we rarely watch OTA TV any more.
