Do you download movies (poll)

As for do I download? I'm a movie watcher, and I can't stand crap quality video. so downloading movies, especially those that are in the theater, is pretty much worthless to me.

I also have a netflix subscription with blu-ray... no need to download movies.

I am however an AVID fansub downloader, for anime. :/

Yup..99% of the stuff available for download is crap so it's not worth the time or bandwidth. If me needs filler video or any filler sound for a project there be plenty of open source, copyright free - great or better material - than the crap shot in a theatre. The weasels that download the freebies get the crap and malware they deserve.

I have no real moral qualms about it, I am disgusted by the MPAA and RIAA, and some of their tactics. DRM as a whole pisses me off, and encourages people. with blu-ray prices nearing 40 dollars for a new movie(WTF?) and games having DRM schemes that limit you so badly that I refuse to buy a game with their crap on it.

So I think they get what comes to them.

But really.. can't people use a damn HD cam? lol

but with netflix there is no point to download movies that are released.

and again movie theater quality crap is so bad, you only really find something nice, if it's an R5 release. Even then.. I perfer to actually go out to the movies, me and my friend love the popcorn, and just the experiance. :P

"download " is a broad term. For example you can download many things from itunes. If you are talking illegal d/l - no I don't , as much of it is crap quality, it's illegal and more often than not infested with malware. If you mean LEGAL purchased d/l such as itunes or VOD than yes I do as do many of us.

If I had not invested in a sound system that is capable of DTS MA/and DD true, It would be different. You don't get the HQ sound along with a DL. I love lossless audio. Especially music in 5.1

I did it back in college but since then its been hulu and netflix the whole way.
