Netflix to stream movies through Xbox 360?

no, you don't have the bandwidth to stream Blu-ray movies over the internet. Netflix streams standard-def movies that are compressed.

I connected my PC to my HDTV and streaming the movies from Netflix website isn't bad but don't expect good quality let alone HD. Right now the movies are streamed slightly below SD DVD quality but a step above broadcast TV analog. I would expect this to be corrected shortly though since XBOX360 has plenty of HD content available for download. I do not see much of an advantage to streaming Netflix through XBOX360 unless Netflix updates its content to at least upscaled SD!

I doubt there will be any HD, it will probably be limited to the same instant watch available videos on the website. It is coming out with the new xbox software upgrade in a week or two.
