I have no problems what-so-ever watching upconverted DVD titles. They look great to me but then again, I am not an HD snob. What's even stranger is that I find DD 5.1 just fine too! I am not saying I don't care about HD, I do. I can't watch SD sports anymore. I have the NFL Sunday Ticket and get pissed if a broadcast is in SD.... just my 4 cents (adjusted for inflation and considering how much my 401K has gone down.. maybe 10 cents!)

Yes - many DVD tiles do upconvert very well. I too am surprised how good some of them look.

On another note . . .

I am VERY curious how well the 70th edition of Pinnochio is going to do being a 4x3 AR title - pillarboxing. We had some threads about the ST -TOS box set. Some think you have to have a 16x9 frame for a title to be considered HD - which is a mistake.
