New Gaming Forum Rules: ALL POSTER MUST READ

1. Sales numbers come from one place. NPD. Others can be posted, but will likely be ridiculed.

2. No trolling. This doesn't mean you can't have a "lol" at the expense of 'the other team'. If you're going to do it, it had better be funny. Hilarious funny. Spelling Sony and Microsoft with an '$' is not funny. It's forum clutter. If it's not worth a laugh, and not contributing to the thread, it's trolling.

3. When someone links an OP to a subjective blog piece (PS Forums, Team Xbox etc.) be aware that it's only an opinion piece and react accordingly. No reason to get yourself into an argument about the PS3 being great based on a thread sourced at Team Xbox.
-OP's, try and find an unbiased source for your topics, but using sites like the ones mentioned above is OK, just accept that it's going to be seen as slanted.

4. Post more. When someone starts a well meaning thread, take the time to leave your thoughts. It's what the forum is for. Post pictures, screen shots, videos, anything. Just keep this section full of the latest video game news and content.

5. If you are privy to a really cool game and being held under NDA, said poster MUST break said NDA to maintain forum membership.

6. TRY to respect each others opinions.

Infractions occurred in the gaming section will be handled according to internet gaming forum tradition.

Minor offenses will land a funny quip where your tag or sig use to be. If you come to the board and find your sig changed, it means you're doing it wrong. No foul for changing it back, the duration of that infraction is the period between the time of me changing your sig, and you fixing it.

Major offense (ie: repeat offenses) will land you in the penalty box. It's not going to be easy to get me to temp ban you. You'd really have to go out of your way just to come close to one.

We have a gamer in charge of moving around stickies and updating OPs, so we have a real opportunity to make this little corner of HDF our own.

Great set of rules for the gaming section Kamspy.

It will be great having a real gamer modding this section now who follows the lingo and current events to update the OP of sticky lists, etc.

And as usual, you did this rules sticky with your unique and funny sense of humor.
