that is because PS3 users enjoy playing games that have less than good or wacky controls
![]() Killzone 2, MGS4, RE5.. whats next? on a serious note i would be suprised if RE5 sells more than 1.5 million copies over all platforms.

Yeah thats not a very good comparison, wait for it to come out in the US and see how the numbers change, and for anyone who thinks RE5 has whacky controls you have probably never played a RE game so of course they are weird to you. Anyone who has played these games form the 1st one on the original PS to the new one knows that the controls have only gotten better. I can't even count how many bullets I wasted in the every one of those games because of crappy camera angles and the ability to only aim down straight and up. These controls are nothing new and everybody acts like they re-wrote the freaking bible. I loved RE 4 and beat it 8 times and these controls are even better.

yes i have played the past games and the controls are the same now as they where then. that doesnt mean this game dosent need to evolve with better controls. just becasue its a RE games doenst mean i shouldnt have some more modern controls.. but no, they still want to stone my feet when im in combat shooting a gun and also add more on screen enemys. more movement would have been better IMO.
tecmo bowl evolved so can resident evil

Basically the control scheme was the same and bad up until RE4 came out when they rewrote it so saying the controls are the same now as they were then is not true, I do agree though that it would be nice to be able to walk while aiming or at very least while reloading. In the old games you could open up the menu and stop gameplay in order to reload now you cant do that and the real time reload adds a difficulty element to the game that most people may not like. Also as you pointed out SAL more on screen enemies would be nice, reguardless of which console you have (360 or PS3) it shoud be no problem for them to have more enemies on screen especially since they dissapear when they die. I love the re series and have beaten every one of them many times, RE 2, 4 and the RE 1 remake were by far my favs and controls have never been an issue for me, it was more the crappy camera angles that were my bane. Of course thats just me other people do have different likes and dislikes.

I have not played any of the RE titles since the first one. I enjoyed that game but never got into the whole series. So the controls I remember are spinning your character around with the left or right d-pad then moving forward or back with the up or down d-pad.
Are the new ones like the older games that had all the puzzle stuff along with zombie killing?

I'm still unsure which console to buy this on.
One of my buddies is begging me to get the PS3 version, another is on me to get the 360 version. I don't know. It's like GTA, DMC, MGS, it would just seem sacreligious to play it on anything but a Sony console... |

IGN gives a very slight edge to the Xbox 360 version, for the usual reasons, framerate |

It's probably gonna come down to which system has the person I have to most faith in to finish the campaign with me. Which, is a toss up. ![]() ![]() That's the main reason I'm not liking the trend towards co-op focused campaigns. I don't know anyone who can/will commit to beating a 15 hour game on a shared schedule. I don't even know if I can. |
