Huh... See I'd pay big bucks for an adapter that lets me use my Xbox controller on the PS3

Even if I owned both consoles I would still get it for the 360 because of the co-op over XBL, I know sony has the Playstation network but I know it cant hold up to XBL. I played the demo with a friend of mine on offline on my tv and it shrunk both of our screens down to about a third the normal size of the split screen size. I don't know if thats just a demo thing but there is no way I would want to play the full game like that so online is the only way to go for me. At any rate the more they sell be it for the 360 or the PS3 the more money they can put towards the next one, and thats always good

Don't know how it will work with sixaxis stuff though.

Couldn't use it for KZ2 SP. Don't know how it would effect the sniper rifle in MP either. Your scope is steadied by how steady you are holding the controller.

I'm the one with the controller preferrence, haha after more than 10 years nothing feels more natural than a Dualshock.

Anyways, I'm renting what every version is at my Blockbuster. I'm going to hold out for the PC version, that way my girlfriend and I can play CO-OP.

PC version of RE4 had the worst mouse lag ever. It was there to imitate the dumbness of an analog stick.

You should try out RE4 on PC or make sure RE5 has the option to disable the mouse lag. I know Lost Planet does, so maybe Capcom learned their lesson....

Given your stockpile of 360s, couldn't your GF play co-op with you on 360?

There were tons of mod files for RE4 on the PC. I patched my game up to the point where it looked way better than the Gamecube version.

As for RE4 on the 360/PS3. I have at least two of each, but the girlfriend sucks at console games that don't involve menus (RPGs.) She's only good at platformers and she also didn't like RE4 on the PS2/GC/Wii, she preferred the PC version.

Plus I'd have to rent to copies, and it would have to be for the PS3 since no online play with a silver account.

I wonder if that would work with the Wireless adapter for the Xbox control to be used over PC... I'm gonna look into that. I absolutely detest the shape/stick positions on the PSX/PS2/PS3 controllers.

I wouldn't see why not, but for $50, if wireless is an absolute must, I'd check into it.

With the numbers of 360's in the US compared to PS'3, you know RE5 360 will easily outsell the ones on the PS3's.

The controls are actually intentionally clunky. It is supposed to add intensity to situations and make them "scarier". This was first mentioned with the release of Code Veronica after Capcom were criticised for using "PS1" controls. They continued to mention this for Resident Evil 4 though.

I have to say I'm torn over Resi 5. The demo was incredibly underwhelming, but fantastic review scores plus split screen co-op are really swaying me towards it regardless.

I've been using the 360 adapter since KZ2 got launched. I have not got my hands on the sniper rifle yet to see if it works or not. I know everything else works fine.

It does lock up every now and again but it works pretty well.

I'll let you guys know what happens when I get a sniper rifle. About another 1300XP till I get it unless I find one somewhere.

Only bad thing with the 360 controller is you can't use the sixaxis to tweak your aim, I constantly find myself doing that when my reticule is just a little bit off.

That said I still suck at tracking moving targets (to be fair I always suck at sniping moving targets with console controllers in any game)
