COD:WaW 360 Party-up thread

Ok, since it seems like a few people around here are actually beginning to take some interest in this game let's get partied up for some MP matches of any type or Zombies.
Use this thread for setting up some party times to get your whoop ass on in the evenings w/ the guys around the forum. I've said before I can't stand playing these games by myself, so befriend me and let's go. Maybe we can get this like COD4 USED to be back in the 1st qtr of this year.. I kinda doubt it but hey, it's worth a try. Full teams of us is the most fun I've had on 360 and it's been a hell of a long time.

Yikes.. I usually jump on around 9:30 - 10:30 pm eastern time and play till whenever. Only time I get on at supper time is when wifey is out when I get home from work.

you'll get more people (i assume) around christmas and after... i kept meaning to pick it up and then never do, and now its so close to christmas time, i'm just gonna have my girlfriend get it for me for then. I believe calzone is getting it then, as well. Action with that game will definitely pick up!!

What are you guys' favorite guns, perk setups on this game? Do they vary from map to map?

They definitely very from map to map. I still have yet to unlock the Ppsh, but I am prone to taking it from victims. Lately for larger maps it's been all about the STG-44 w/ telescopic. Smaller maps call for an SMG or shotty. I don't use Juggernaut I think it should be disabled after reaching a rank of 4.

If it is a map with tanks, it's either bazooka and satchel charges mixed with stickys

yup.. and then we made a temporary switch to RB6V 2 for a short time, if i remember correctly. I'll get this game for christmas and play it til baseball season. (Hoping there is a good baseball game this year).


Calzone is around. He said he hasn't played his Box for like 2 weeks. Up until last night, it was mainly the same thing for me. He said he was picking up COD5 for christmas as well -- so no fear -- we will get back!!

Yeah, I like to set up a custom class for each category of weapon, then try to completed the challenges (not the headshot ones) and then move on to the next weapon of the category. So far only one I've had probs w/ is the M1 Garand, I think I'm gonna skip it soon because it fucking sucks. Haven't found much use for the shotgun YET but I will.. just gotta feel out the maps a bit more, maybe on dome?
I've been using the STG a good bit, and am waiting to unlocke the PSH. I use betties on almost all my classes and usually stopping power on rifles and camo on smg or shotty. I'm on the type100 now for smg's and that's not a bad gun.

I have completed all but headshots for all SMG up to the Psh, I hate the rifles and the Bolts...mainly because I am patient but I do run around a bit more...my k/d generally right around 1:1

Definitely the 100. I use the large ammo mag and the extra ammo mag and reek havoc on the closer maps. I unlocked the PPSH and it does not compare to the 100. Maybe I'm just used to it by now, but I haven’t found a gun to compete with it yet.
On the larger maps I have been using the STG or a single bolt and just hanging back a little. Unless I get into a tank, I usually don't post high numbers on the larger maps.
I think the most we have ever had at one time was 7 or 8 on COD4. That was such a blast, I bet we can get back to those numbers. I would love to see us play on ground war with 8 or team deathmatch. I can’t tonight, It’s our 9 year anniversary and we are going to brave the snowstorm headed towards Milwaukee for a little Sushi.

What is your favorite map on WAW and why. For me, I like Castle. I like that you can mix it up inside and also stay back and pick people off.
Anyone else having trouble killing people with Artillery? I suck and usually just kill myself.

Mine's in teh town w/ the train yard at one end and a lot of busted up buildings.. not the one w/ the tanks, although I like that one too. I only really HATE dome. I like most of the ones in towns. I also like the cliffside. But teh one I mentioned first is probably my fave. Not sure why.. I jsut do well there.
I like the airfield too.
