Microsoft: Xbox 360 Outsold PS3 3-to-1 On Black Friday

Microsoft also boasts European Xbox 360 sales are "up as much as 400 percent" since its September price drop. Man, they're taking Europe too? Greedy.

They had much better offers than the ps3. Lots of stores where giving away gift cards, free controllers, and free games. CC did a $199 arcade system with a 20 gig hard drive and a controller. That was a good deal.

Aside from blu-ray playback, I think the 360 simply has more going for it.

Xbox Live
A marketplace with more content then one could simply browse in a day
A very large game library
Media center sharing, videos, music, photos..etc
Netflix streaming
video marketplace
New interface

PS3 has much of the above, but not quite as much and it costs more. If someone isn't ready to get into blu-ray and is thinking more along the lines of gaming, 360 is an easy choice.

True, nearly every store had monster deals on 360, hardly anything for PS3. $ony really should have dropped PS3's price. They can't afford to get too much behind. Here is a clip of the 360 feeding frenzy at walmart who had an Arcade Bundle with Guitar Hero.

Yeah sony is screwed. I think they were banking on MS keeping the tard pack.. tarded. Now theyre left with a console thats double the price.

I don't think they can afford to drop the price, they're mainly an export company based in Japan. They're already taking a hit considering how much the dollar converts into yen (not that much nowadays)

Even the pro bundle is cheaper than a Wii.

The offers going around on the Xbox 360 in the UK atm inc a free wireless controller and 4 free games when you buy a Pro System for £20 less than a Wii costs on it's own

Indeed, the value our currencies have lost against the yen lately actually mean Sony have technically reduced the price by 30-50%, yet it hasn't altered the price by a penny.

That video just shows how pathetic society has become! Every year on black Friday or new console lauch people are hurt, robbed,or dead and for what? To save a few bucks or get a new system that if they wait a week they can get elsewhere! I will still think the 360 is more kid oriented whereas the PS3 is more adult oriented. Kids could care less about BR and just want to play games online with friends. That is where MS has the advantage, little Jimmy goes home and tells mommy that he wants an Xbox like johnny has! Word of mouth is a very affective marketing tool!

i read a stat in my GameInformer magazine that 55% of gamers are married, and 45% of these married gamers have kids.

gaming consoles are not for kids or should i say not steriotyped anymore as a kids toy.

however the PS3 is not looked at by all its consumers as a gaming console. it was the best value ont he market for a blu-ray player.

dam i missed that one. i would have bought another system for the bedroom. oh well guess i will have to wait for 3 levels of xbox gaming.

on a side note i think i'm going to use some dusk magnet spray on my ps3 but then i might forget i even own one. i really think it's time to move it into my game room again because it's not getting any play since i got rid of that horriable samsung BD player.
