Panasonic Plasma.
Burn in is a myth. Sales people promote it because LCDs have a higher profit margin. |

#2 vote for Panasonic plasma as they have less image retention and burn in issues than Samsung.

Don't go DLP, too many bulbs to replace. Don't go LCD, you'll get blur and lag unless you spend BIG $$$$$. Panny plasma. EDIT: Plasmas have ZERO blur. There is no refresh rate, therefor blur would be technically impossible. DLPs have a very narrow viewing angle and need bulbs. The digital light reflection used in DLPs also causes some people to get headaches after extended viewing and most everyone can see "rainbow" in their peripheral vision on the screen. It's inherent to the technology that DLP uses. Also, DLPs are slowly being discontinued, so the bulbs may become more expensive and hard to get in the future. Can't go wrong with a Panny Plasma. You can thank us when you hook it up.

Also I am not sure what your budget is but you should check out a COSTCO's or SAMS CLUB Or BJ's, i found that they have really great prices, I bought my 42"panny plasma at costco and bought an extended 3 yr warranty for an extra $200 and the total price was $1550
