If they do home right it can potentially be like
Complete the final mission.
Access to new GTA themed clothing, furniture, posters, trophies to put into your penthouse.
It really all depends on what you get out of it. If bragging is your thing, then either works - home may offer more.

I just like it as another goal. Every game has 1 goal - win. With the achievements, there are now 10-50 other ways to "win". I've found it adds tremendous replay value and couldn't care less if anyone views my achievements, so in that respect, home wouldn't offer me anything.

True, either type of accomplishment is only slightly interesting to me.
Its kind of funny. Achievements arent anything new... remember when they used to be called 'unlockables?'
Developers need to go back and reward achievments with actual things 'in-game.'

Who knows though, I did like Animal Crossing and the Sims for a while.. Home may turn out to be just as addictive.

If its for bragging doesnt the PS3 already have that?
The highest score in guitar hero, the fastest lap in gran turismo, your COD4 ranking etc.
imo the gamerscore really just means you play alot of more games, not that youre better at each game or even overall.

I'm playing through R6-2 right now on PS3. Not for gamer points, but for personal achievements. I don't need a blip and a graphic for gratification.
