i'm not sure about the PS3, but with the 360 you can run a network test that tells you all sorts of info about your connection, including whether or not your NAT is open, moderate, or strict (i think those are the possible settings). look around in the PS3 menu to find the equivalent network test (probably under system settings or something of that nature).

in your searches, check out Halo 3 forums. Halo 3 kind of highlighted the problem for a lot of people and i remember seeing some write-ups on how to change it.

my understanding is that the NAT is a security wall in the router that allows/prevents people from connecting to each other. Open allows for any connection, while Strict only allows connection to others with Strict.

umm the skorpion has no recoil at all and if u put stopping power on that baby its sweet. and the 74u is almost as poweful as the 47 but has much less recoil and ur not suppossed to justhold down the trigger u have to do light taps and the MP5 is the best silenced gun u can ask gor and it doesnt matter about the recoil cuz ur not really supposed to aim w/ it

Even with using light taps on the 74, I still got issues with blowing through the clip way too fast. That, and it's not really all that accurate. For me it's tough to lock onto a guy even with a scope on it.

Steady aim

Used to always use deep impact but with steady aim the M16 is like a shot gun and actually pretty good close quarters. Long range and short its one burst one kill.

steady aim only works for shooting from the hip right? it wouldnt help if i where using the M16 with a scope then...

i just tried using the scropio(or whatever its call) last night with stoopping power and extra ammo.... i used the silencer on it.. im sorry but i dont know how people kill me with that little P.O.S. weapon with 2 bullets. even with stopping power, that shit is a piece of shit, dead aim at a enemy and it takes forever to kill them. the P90 has faster fire rate too and i destroy people with the P90. the only time i've seen people kick major major ass with the scropio is when its a gold one... do the gold weapons have more power?

I HATE the scorpion. Love the 74u though, I can blow through the challenges w/ that baby like nothin. The scorpion I don't even bother with. It runs out of bullets so fast and takes a full clip to knock someone down.

Most likely where on the opponent they are shooting. The closer you are to the head, the quicker the kill I've found.

Yeah it dosent help or hurt with a scope but if your close quarters and fire from the hip it works good. That is the m16's weak point but it gives you a chance close quarters.

i cant play without my dead silence.. i just cant. i've tried it numerous numerous times and i just hate it.. i hear my own footsteps and everything else and always makes me think there someone else near me or following me, i get such a huge advantage using dead silence, i've gotten so used to it i cant work without it.

i don't use it specifically because i feel as though the vast majority of people out there that are playing don't pay attention to footsteps, whether it's because they don't have good enough speakers, don't have them loud enough, or just not paying attention. whenever i go into a building, i just crouch and it cuts out the majority of walking noise.

yea see thats the thing, i HIGHLY keep my ears(and eyes) wide open for footsteps and soldiers cloth noise and what not. but it helps that i always play with 5.1 surround

of course for far away encouters it doesnt do any good, then again steady aim wont do any good either..
