I am more savy to running down to Taco Bell and grabbing 4 (4 is key) bean burritos and six pack of Meister Brow (if you don't haver Meister, PBR will do
). Wait about 45 minutes and point tat ass near the intake and let em rip. Or the towel trick should do too, but not as fun... And you are probably going to get the 4 RR's (over heating) a bunch of times 1st. That's when you let em rip.. As I stated B4, sometimes if you look at the 360 wrong it will give you the 3RRofD.. Good luck and let us know.. |

also wrap the power brick because that can cause the system to also overheat.

however, the 3 year warranty only covers the RRoD, not other issues. for other things, they charge $100. you might get lucky and they'll send a replacement, but it isn't guaranteed.

To the OP - Keep in mind you could potentially just damage other things and never get the RROD. Might end up costing more to fix it, unless they just have a single rate for repair.

I doubt if the techs even power the unit up once they get it. You certainly don't get the same unit back. I bet a person could send in a perfectly fine 360 and get a new or refurbished one sent to them. It would take a LOT of time to bench test every 360 they get, plus the RRoD could be intermittent....
