DMC4 PS3 exclusive features

they did build DMC4 from the ground up on the PS3, however im glad that PS3 is getting some love from capcom at least.. .. also i think the PSN stuff might be exclusive downloadable content for the PS3. that'll be sweet. and gotta love 5.1 LPCM!

First of all Eddie, I say this as an owner of both systems and a lover of both systems. In fact my PS3 has gotten more playtime the last 2 weeks than my Xbox 360. That said, PS3fanboy.com is grasping at straws:

An optional full harddrive install is a nice extra, but its not an added feature to the game. It doesn't add a new boss, and it doesn't give you a new level to play. Therefor it won't drive sales.

PCM 5.1 is also a nice extra, but how many people with a PS3 or 360 have this set-up? Probably quite a few actually, but how many of those people would actually be interested in DMC4, a game that is VERY much targeting the 13-18 y/o segment.

Finally 1up isn't a great review website. The game was developed on the PS3, that much is obvious. . . hell the 360 version wasn't even announced until well after development. Thats not to say the PS3 version will look or play better. Capcom has gone on record to say that the game will look, play, and feel exactly the same. When has Capcom not lived up to these expectations? I'd be shocked if the 360 version was buggy and choppy.

Now why do I say PS3fanboy is grasping at straws? Because they are desperate to find anything that will put the PS3 versions of their games above the 360s. A lot of 360 games have come out recently that were much better than their PS3 counterparts over the last few months, and with GTA getting exclusive content on the 360 they are now desperate to find some sort of retaliatory game they can rely on. It's one of the main reasons why I stopped going to that website, all they ever do is react to 360 and HD DVD news. . .

I'll wait till the reviews are out to see which version is better, so much crap is spread around now it's crazy.

Nice to see that the Blu-ray disc the game has to come on is being used so well.. sigh, 5GB, HAHAHAHA

i think even with the exclusive PSN stuff they are planning on doing on the PS3 version of DMC and even if the PS3 version plays and looks better, review sites will still try and find the smallest of smallest of things to write negative about the PS3 version and then phrase the 360 version, an example will be "although the 360 version suffers from slight texture pop up, you cannot deny the awesomeness of achievements" which the PS3 version might get "although the PS3 version plays nicely, we cannot ignore the fact that once during the entire game, there was a single frame dropped" .. even with the facts, you will NEVER see a review site give a higher score to a PS3 version game vs its 360 counter part, look at COD4, AC, they got the same scores across the board, even if DMC4 is better on the PS3, it will score the same as the 360 version, its just the nature of things(and $$) and how the world works in this genertaion of gaming

by the way, i rarely go on PS3"fanboy" .com, however i stumbled across the article from another forum, so instead of posting a link to that forum, i just posted the direct link to the source... PS3"fanboy".com is no different then teamxbox.com then PSU.com then xbox360fanboy.com etc..etc..etc.. in the end their all a single console website. if PS3fanboy.com saw a positive article about a PS3 game, they will post it. if xbox360fanboy.com saw a positive article about a 360 game, they will post it. ...

just play the damn game and shut up

Maybe you should take your own advice instead of posting BS that may or may not be true (pertaining to which version is better) we wont know which is better till it releases..

When I saw the 1up podcast as posted by Joystiq, I was SHOCKED to hear them say anything positive about the PS3 version as opposed to the 360 version. IMO, EGM/1up has become VERY 360 biased in the last year. So while I agree that 1up is not the be all end all of game reviews, my ears perked up when they complimented the PS3 version of DMC4 over 360. Again, this is just my opinion.

He simply posted an article about Capcom's opinion. Relax and accept the fact that the PS3 is now getting more love than the 360. It was always inevitable. You can't do anything about it.

Its funny how you think there is nothing wrong with this, you always say just play the damn game but you spread more bull than almost anyone on here. I could care less if the game plays better on the PS3 or not, what you posted is coming from one site and until it releases for us to see for ourselves it is just speculation.

You should take your own advice and stop wasting your time on looking for something positive to post about the PS3 and just play the damn game Eddie.. Oh and go for it man look all you want for my BS posts(there are a few) but I cant hold a candle to you my man.. Have fun playing the damn game bro

DMC4 wasn't developed for the PS3 it was developed for PC.

That is something I did not know, I always thought it was PS3 first and than later they announced the 360 version of it.

Either way it looks good and one I will be checking out. I have never played any in the series, I will be giving this one a try for sure though..
