Many wives probably couldn't tell the difference between Halo 3, Drakes unFortune, or Resistance even if they watched their men play it everyday. I guess when something just doesn't interest you, it is not like you are going to pay attention to it. Oh well, at least you got something you wanted for Christmas. If i'm going to get anything this Christmas, I just hope it is in the form of gift certificates because I hate it when people try to give you clothing. They can never guess my size and ends up getting thrown into the closet.

PS3 is great but honestly Xbox Live is the killer in the battle. Excluding Xbox Live I prefer the PS3 but the controller should have been made better on the PS3, feels very cheap. If both were the same price I think I would still lean to the 360, but it is very close.

When the PS3 has more titles and a better live interface I would take the PS3 anyday especially with BD playback.

By the way, this may sound stupid but how to get to PS3 home with all the people?

I think I may have contradicted myself in my last post. As it stands right now I would take the 360. But I know Sony hasd got to have a couple of trickls up their sleaves with the powerful processor. I can deifinitely see thne PS3 catcthing up if they do the right thing.

Growing more attached to my PS3 by the day though.

PSN, xbox live, all the same crap. in the end all your doing is logging on to a server and playing online against other players. you message them, they message you, you join games with them, they join games with you. both services offer demos, trailers, wallpapers, videos, downloadable games, downloadable content.. . the main difference, one is free the other isnt. and in terms of the interface, what do you mean interface? playing online has no interface(depends on what game you play) but if your refering to PS store and Xbox market place the interface is indeed different, though they both offer similar things(xbox now has movies and shows right? PSN hasnt done this yet) the PS store is far more organized then it was a year ago. i've seen xbox market place and in 2 years it has indeed accumulated alot of content vs the 1yr PS store, however its essentially the same navigation, you want free demos then click on "free demos" both on PS store and market place.. the main difference between them are the icons, graphics and colors.

the controller only feels "cheap" cause its alot lighter in weight then the 360 controller. have you felt the dual shock 3 yet? alrighty then. the DS3 is available out now in japan(for import) and should be available in NA early next year and from user comparions the DS3 is much heavier then the sixaxis.

i dont understand your last question? "Home" hasnt been released yet, its still in its beta stages and unless your have access to home beta then you'll have to wait until spring 08 to get Home, which its going to be for free too

Whether a processor that is upto 12-14% more powerful will ever be utilized is going to depend on developers. Of course, the GPU on the X360 is likewise more powerful and the GPU is the limiting factor most of the time. Either way, it is a good time to be an X360 gamer and the PS3 is supposed to get some more games next year. GT5 will be the game that likely gets me to commit though......

I don't care what it sells, from what I have played of the game, it is stellar. Naughty Dog isn't known for making big selling games, they make good games. EA makes high selling games too, but most of them are junk.

Well that answers my question. I thought "Home" was out. Controller feels cheap but I would never refrain from buying the PS3 because of that point. Overall the PS3 itself has a lot higher quality feel than the 360 and it is dead quiet. Quiter playing movies than my XA1.

yea i know, beyond stupid quiet. when i first heard the fan(s) of the 360 at my bros-in-laws place afew months before getting my PS3 last november i was literally like "what the hell is that noise"? i thought it was his refrigerator or something, the noise lvl is beyond high, have they fix this issue with the new elite models? i sure do hope so. i always felt the build quality was higher too, the 360 is much much lighter then the ps3 which weighs in at over 5kilos (over 11lbs) plus has anyone ever seen internal pics of both systems? its amazing at the difference.. there was even a website that showed a video of them taking apart the ps3 and the 360, the 360 is like literally, a large heatsnik, motherboard and dvd drive, then they looked at the PS3 and it was like HOLY CRAP, they didnt know where to begin lol, the video can proably be found on youtube now or something

I disagree, its not really that amazing. The difference between the most expensive console in the history of consoles, and a console made of off-the-shelf components speaks for itself. Kinda makes you wonder if Sony is continuing to bleed cash on its PS3 division, dont it? Oh, and tell all that amazing build quality to share holders...Im sure theyd be impressed

In the long run, M$ paid a price for lower design quality....but Sony built that loss into the launch, both in time lost to the competition and in the cost of designing from the ground up.

On Topic- My wife was just watching TV and saw the "Drakes Fortune" commercial and thought the graphics were amazing. Truth be told, it isn't my kind of game and I just watch my son play it.
I will NEVER tell my wife that, this is too good of a thing to mess up!

i can't lump my wife into that pile anymore. ever since i got in electronics she started to follow slowly. she used to not care about anything HD but that all changed. for instance,

i bought my pioneer plasma which was supposed to end up in my gaming/sports viewing room but once i decided to get the second tv and get ready to move my pioneer to the basement she was quick to lay the ban hammer down. her quick reaction was "no way that picture is to dam nice". i honestly thought she was talking about how nice it looked on the wall so i told her the sony xbr5 i was going to get would look just as good on the wall. then she explained that the actual picture was to nice for her to give up. i just could not believe it.

then came Bio Shock and she was quick to say "WoW that's a great looking game and it's sick.

convert your wife guys it's a whole different world and makes it so much easier to buy new stuff. watch movies that are amazing looking and let her see her shows/movies in HD and she will follow.

That's a shame, I recently purchased Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and I think it's an amazing game. It's wonderful all around. I'd actually go as far to say anyone who owns a PS3 should at the absolute least rent it. It's a grand achievement in gaming and is up to par with even the best of the games out there all around. This of course is just my own opinion, but I stand strongly on it.

Lol, whether you are impressed or not, even with the extended warranty and service issues, my money is still on M$ to turn a bigger profit on their console than Sony will with theirs. Hell, the fact that Sony will get their arrogant ass handed to them this generation by the 360 is just kinda 'icing on the cake' for me.
