DailyGame: COD4 PS3's graphics "definitely excel" the 360 version.

Not trying to troll here, just showing people like bboncor and Cygnus that multi-format games can look better on the PS3.

These two and one other I don't know where I read (somewhere on this forum) have stated the existance of the PS3 having better graphics on the final output.
Again, I state, the PS3 will only get better. It may be one game here and there for the next year that completely proves this point over other consoles but I hope that devs stop crying and calling for mommy and start to learn the PS3. (easier said then done, I know) Once this happens, all PS3-HELL will break out!!

Or so I say. But what do I know eh? I'm just one of the thousand know-it-alls on this forum!

There's nothing to say they can't look better. They just haven't yet, for the most part.

After the crapola job infinity ward did with COD3 for the PS3, its a bit unexpected that they would really nail down COD4 for the PS3. But I'm not saying that it won't or can't look better on PS3.

The developer publically said that "PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions all look surprisingly similar" and yet in ths same breath the Daily Gamer is claiming that the PS3 version is definetly better.

Does that Daily Gamer have this finished game? I'm certain they don't. So in other words they are talking out their asses. In the end I believe the develoer not some blogger idiot.

Overall multiplayer will be better on the 360 because of XBL as well as I am sure the xbox version will completly clobber the PS3 in sales of this game (historically they have always have in multiplatform releases)

Looking marignally better is not going to change things. LIVE is what gaming is about now. XBOX has the market cornered on the Live gaming experience.

InfinityWard didn't make CoD3, they handed it off the Treyarch. And given reactions like that from a lot of fans it's probably why they took back the reins for CoD4.

Still can't wait to get back to mowing people down with the saw online

Let me preface this by saying, I am no game developer, nor do I play one on TV... But most 3rd parties agree that game development is easier and cheaper on 360. While PS3 has advantage in CPU, 360 has GPU, memory, and development advantages.

Except those advantages can start to end if someone starts bribing them to do a better job with one version, or they neglect the other version.

My understanding is that because it is much easier to take a PS3 game to the X360 than the other way around, i'm wondering whether this might be a reason it could look better especially if they are trying to meet a strict time deadline(holiday season). We know the X360 has the advantages that would allow for better graphics generally, unless it wasn't as optimzed.

as for COD4 we'll see which one looks better when the game comes out, i hope it looks better on the PS3 just cause it needs it to prove itself to those less faithful, in terms of sales without a doubt it'll sell more on the 360 just cause theres a much higher # of units in the market compare to the PS3, duhhh LoL and as far as online, the only advantage with 360/live are the archivements, everything else is the same, online is online is online is online wether you play online on ps3, pc or 360, your still playing online. of course unless you have a slow connection and/or paying for the service, one advantage the PS3 has is the free online

. and of course there will probably be more people online with live cause again the higher # of units in the market.

once again in your little twisted world you have gotten everything screwed up again. i hope this clearifies it for you because maybe your having trouble reading or something.

I HAVE NEVER STATED THE PS3 WOULD NEVER HAVE BETTER LOOKING GAMES THEN THE 360, NEVER, NEVER, FOREVER, NEVER.

Last years Tiger Woods golf looked better on the ps3 and Oblivian was clearly better looking on the PS3. You seem to feel im a MS fanboy when all i do is state the truth. if the truth is sony is not doing well then that is the truth. if the truth is ms built faulty 360's at launch then that is the truth. if i was a MS fanboy then i wouldnt have bought last years tiger woods and oblivion on the ps3. i already owned oblivion on the 360 but bought it on the ps3 because it was a better game.

I'm about gaming and not someone who will just buy a game for either system just to stay loyal. unlike GLOW i realize either company would leave us flat if we didnt pony up the cash. unlike Glow i realize like computer video cards any game can look better on either system if it is optimized for that video card. Unlike Glow i realize there is a benifit to owning both systems. Unlike Glow i realize listening to what either company promises is a waste of time but rather watching their actions as a whole tells me all i need to know.

so hey keep believing what you want to believe and while your trying to prove me wrong for something i wasnt even saying to begin with during that time you can know i will be playing games on which ever system is better even if it is the Wii.

this is true and has been discussed here many many times. the 360 is much easier to program for and it's by a long shot. then there is the cost which is much lower on the 360. the ps3 is still a mystery to devs. because sony's now famous lack of support.

lets clear up a few things.. I. Ward didnt do Cod3. and the developmental team it takes to make a PS3 game compared to that on the Xbox360 is somthing like 3-1 so if it only tajkes 6 people to develope a Xbox360 games and it takes 12 people to do the same game on the PS3. the 3rd party development companys are goign to continue to pick the 360 over the PS3.

i agree the PS3 is a much more powerful machine than that of the 360. and i think over time it will be the system of choice... but that time is not now and its not next year either. its going to be 2 to 3 years before the PS3 is the system of choice for gamers. and in the mean time 360 is the system to be on.

I played the beta for the 360 and im perfectly happy with teh graphics i played on. if the PS3 version is better thats great but what the Xbox360 has is fine with me. and last but not least. the Xbox360 Controller is much much much better for FPS than that sixaxes POS that you get on the PS3.

BTW Hows the graphics on CoD4 compared to Gears of War? In the past week I just finally finished the campaign levels of CoD3 and also Halo 3 so I have been playing Gears now until CoD4 comes out.
