its hard to say between them beacsue Gears Graphics are more Statis. which means the stuff doest move. where is COD4 has alot more Physics going on in the game,. like grass moving all the time and wind blowing. so the realism in COD4 graphics is way better than Gears. and there is a gerat deal of static detail in it also. the only thing i can say different is that COD4 is not as shinny looking. things arent glossy like they are in Gears.

yeah but compare it to Bio Shock which is a better looking game then gears. i dont know why Bio Shock doesnt come up more often when comparing great looking games.

I think dark games have a tendency to take the back seat even when it has state of the art graphics that are way ahead of the competition. When you look at many of the HDTV's in the market right now, they really don't do very good jobs with dark colors simply because nothing can approach what CRT's can do with blacks. Not only that, but people I don't think are able to notice graphical details as easily in a dark game. The same goes for movies as well, as bright movies are much easier for me to drool over in terms of picture quality.

Read some more reviews on this guy last night and talked with some people in depth about the beta and WOW this game sounds freaking awesome... The market is seriously getting way to saturated with great games this year, I mean its cool and all but I feel bad for some of these games which are going to go unnoticed what with all the AAA titles available..

Never thought I would feel that way but I guess its a good and a bad thing..

Didn't know there was such as thing as "too many great games". However right now in my own personal collection, the 4 out of 6 xbox 360 games I own are all shooter games. I'll have to trade in one of these shooters toward CoD 4.

i take it you have not seen the new pioneer plasma's. the blacks are better then crt's and to a point where it's considered the new standard to go by. hell they can't even measure the black levels on these new pioneer's. then again we are talking about tv's that start in the 5k range for 50". i know from personal experience and i was somebody who always thought crt's where the standard but now that has passed with these new pioneer's. hell the next line of pioneer plasma's are supposed to be so black that you can't even tell the tv is on in a perfectly dark room. this gen was supposed to have it that dark but they came dam close on the new kuro line.

I have not really kept up with what's going on with Plasma yet as any future flat panel purchase is going to have to cost a lot less than $5k, and will likely be LCD as I just don't want to risk doing some extended gaming on such an expensive TV anyway. I guess Plasma technology has come a long way, as I remember a time when Plasma's had even worse black levels than some LCD's. I will have to check it out in the future as a TV like that would be awesome for watching movies on though(when my financial situation allows for such a purchase).

Personally, I don't care which looks better. If I get it (which I probably will), I'll be buying it for my 360.

With dual format games, I'll always get it for my 360. For Xbox Live and achievements, plus I prefer the 360 controller.

I didn't know either but looking at november there are like 5-6 games that are must haves and luckily some of the others I was looking to get got pushed back.. I dont think I have ever gone through as many games as I have lately. Oh and the 5-6 games are all 360 games, If drake and Haze turn out to be any good that will be two more to add on top of that and I am always looking for something fun on the Wii for my nephews and lil bro..

November is going to be an expensive month and I will have to up my media budget to accomodate

Last night I traded in Rainbow Six Vegas and some unused Wii and Xbox games and picked up Beautiful Katamari (for my kid) and pre-ordered Call of Duty 4. Even though they totally screw you with the trade ins at Gamestop, I just don't like hanging onto games that I am not actively playing. If I find anything else interesting to buy this year I might just have to give CoD 3 or Gear of War the axe they have both served me well.

I had the beta (360) and played it for about two weeks. The graphics were really good and if they are better on the PS3 I think it will be the new standard to measure games by, like gears is now. In my opinion GRAW2 had the most realistic graphics I have seen and CoD4 surpassed it.
