My sister is home for a week or so and brought with her a Wii. I had played it briefly before, but this was really the first extended time I've had with it. Here's my thoughts:
For $250, it's quite the deal. Not only does it come with a game, but it has wifi built in. We were looking for the ethernet jack on it and then I decided to check the menus and was shocked that it had the wifi built in. The only games she has are Wii Sports (all consoles should come with at least 1 game) and Mario Party 8. Both games are fun to play. Wii sports is quite involved and is actually quite tiring after extended play. Mario Party 8 you can sit and play and its also fun. While the Wii would never replace my 360, I could see having one as well. Graphics are SD, but they aren't bad. They fit the games and they don't make it any less enjoyable. So for those of you that haven't had a chance to try it, give it a try. And for those that aren't interested in gaming, give it a try too. I think the non-gamers are likely some of the biggest buyers of the Wii. |

He will love it! I got my 11 year old nephew a wii for Christmas and he liked the wii sports more than the other two games that came with it.

Our whole family loves the Wii so much so that my brother in law bought one and my mother and father in law have bought one for their place and my dad picked one up today to go with his X box and Xbox 360.

My sister got a Wii as well (she is 24) and loves the thing.
And after playing it myself, I have to say I enjoyed that thing very much as well. Nintendo did something good there...
