Yeah I'm starting to be a little afraid I won't be playing video baseball this year. If 2k is as big of a disappointment as last year I'll just be playing nba2k8 and COD4 for the next 6 months.

Not quite sure how 2K8 is going to turn out, maybe we'll know better tomorrow 02/07/08, when the demo supposedly comes out. One thing is for sure though, MLB 08 should be even better than it was last year. Eck, you ought to pick up a PS3 & The Show. The only thing 2K has going for them is Ben Brinkman.

I would.. but I'm not buying a PS3 for one game. My wife is having our second baby in a month and I just bought a new house. That shit just aint gonna fly.

I am not very confident in 2k baseball this year, brinkman or not. Hopefully a demo does come out soon, I'd love to try it. But I loved the demo last year and then the game just turned out to be so repetitive.. every ball hit went to like the same 6 places on the field, that shit was sooooooo annoying.

I was thinking that to myself as well. Last year i went without a baseball game, so i guess i can do it this year, too. I also enjoyed the demo but then read what you said about the ball being hit to the same places so i figured on passing on it. (as that is the kind of shit that annoys me about games). So i will check the new demo out as well and see if its something worth buying. Otherwise it will be RB6V2 for me, along with COD4 and NBA2K8 until college fb and madden come out in late summer.

Well, you could always use your second income tax check you might receive this May or June from President Bush's stimulous package. It's money you wouldn't have had anyway. Just a thought. Tryin to help a brother out so he can play a great bball game.

I disagree. I think cfb and madden were both good games (I only stopped playing cfb because it wouldn't stop freezing). I just stopped playing my franchise in madden last week.

I do agree, however, that mlb the show was the best baseball game. But i'm with eck, i would never buy a console for one game. In fact, couldn't justify having 2 consoles at the same time. And not quite ready to turn in my 360 yet -- too much money invested in it.

I like NCAA but that game just seems all kinds of f'd up after playing it for a while. The CPU will throw pick after pick to your team, and their passrush is so dominate while you can barely get to the qb w/ an all out blitz.. Blitzes and screens are broken online. The blitz gets there too fast 98percent of the time and screens and options can dominate every game w/ any team. the AI is just all fucked up.
Madden I wish I could play a franchise in, but the simmed stats are just so off the wall FUCKED up I can't take it. RB yards are way over the top. Everytiem a D player gets an INT it counts as 2 in the league leaders.. I just hate shit like that.. my franchises are stats driven and that just ruins it for me.
I really hope MLB comes thru, they've "rebuilt" a lot of the game from what I've read and I hope it comes out good.

On a side note.. I did my taxes the other day and my return is a whopping 79 fucking dollars.. I'm not happy.

wow... even with claiming a kid???? I mean i never get big returns either (never had so its not a big deal), however, i thought with a kid you automatically make some dough.

I hope mlb comes through as well. I read the preview from ign, and they rave about it. However, the pitching sounds a little fucked up to me this year. Guess i'll have to try it out before i judge...

Yeah, even w/ the kid, I usually get back over a grand but I dunno.
I'm gonna do my taxes over again this weekend and see if I screwed up somewhere

I checked the Marketplace at 5:30 this morning. No dice. I'm hoping maybe it shows up on the PSN this afternoon. Sony does their updates every Thursday afternoon. Brinkman said early Feb. This is as early as it gets. I'm also hoping for a demo of The Show.

Where there was two, there is four.....LOL........I pre-ordered too...The new road to the show looks so awesome.....How you have to be ready for when the ball comes to you and participate in all those plays....What an original feature

As a big baseball fan, should I go out and get a PS3, or hope that 2K gets their act together.? I'm a little jealous right now.
