The MLB 2K7 Thread...........................

thought i would make a dedicated thread for MLB 2K7 since so many of us have the game. this isnt a specific system thread all are welcomed.

well here is whats going on with my g.m. mode,

team: redsox
current lineup

cf: carl crawford- traded coco crisp and a bunch of prospects for him.
2B: pedroia
DH: BIG PAPI
LF: Manny
RF: J.D. Drew
3RD: Lowell
C: V-Tek
1B: youk
SS: some rookie with great D skills. is on a tear with 5 HRs in 3 games.

my pitchers are pretty much the same except i traded for zumaya from Detroit.

Since my franchise mode froze and wont allow me into the playoffs I have begun a GM career of ST Louis and started with the fantasy draft...I must say I'm constantly amazed at how realistic these sims are becomming. Somtimes I will watch my 2K team over whats really on cable....

Haha, I used to do that sometimes w/ madden or 2kfootball when I was bored and there was nothing on tv, to preview the upcoming weekend's games. Usually did it when I was gonna lay down and take a nap or go to bed, or cleaning or something.

I writing to see if there is any interest in getting a league started that will actually finish. I've joined about 7-8 leagues over the past month that start out active, but don't make it past the first week. I'm thinking 12 teams 32 games only because anything more would be unrealistic, however I'm down for any length and number of teams if there is enough interest.

I'd play, but it's a real pain in the ass to get those organized and kept active.. I would suggest a tourney only for those reasons.

a short tourney would work alot better. this way the people playing could setup times and dates for there games. if you do a league it becomes harder unless you do flex schedule

anyone else playing with the sox or dice k notice this.

everytime he pitches for me it rains. im talking 100% of the time so far. i have started my season over 2 times and now im on my 3rd. i have roughly 20 starts with him and everytime it rains. right now its raining and dice k is pitching. it only rains when he pitches and it hasnt happed to any other pitcher so far. its so specific to him pitching now i wonder if its a glitch.

i like to keep the rainouts on so i can get double headers in and make it a little more real. also your players get more rest if the game is called. at this point im hoping for a rainout since my pitchers need it.

Well i am back. Finally moved into my new house and have my360 all set. i traded all my games in for MLB2K7, not to impressed. Still a tiger junky but i had to trade that in b/c everytime i played a tourney it would freeze on the 17th hole...oh well...right now i suck at MLB2K7 but i am looking to paly anyone to get better..

You don't like MLB? How long you been playing it. I was playing it a whole lot, but lately I haven't been playing a whole lot of anything.

I have grown tired of MLB2K7. Too many homeruns & I can't deal with the fielding camera angle. I will be trading it in on MLB07 The Show for PS3 next week. The videos look promising. I have the Show for the PS2 & PSP. Even though the graphics aren't as good as MLB2K7, it plays a better game of baseball.

i agree with the camera angles comment, when a ball is hit to the outfield it stays the same view,fucking sux..you would figure that the creator of MVP would be able to make this the best baseball game out there..i will probably trade it in soon..i hate the game..going to get GRAW and tiger again...

I dunno. I don't have problems fielding at all. I also don't uppercut every swing, only in situations that call for it, so I'm not seeing 8+ jacks a game either. But it does seem to get repetitive. All the grounders go to the exact same places.. I've heard there's slider sets out there that can fix this, but I don't have the time to F w/ that crap. If I wanna play the game I wanna turn it on and freakin play it, not dick around w/ sliders for an hour beforehand.

Yo Calzone, Maybe I'll pick up GRAW2 as well.. I haven't played anything of it except the MPDemo, and I didn't really like it as much as RB6, but I haven't played RB6 in a long time and on GRAW you can have up to 4 players local on a live game I think. I won't play the single player, I can't get into sp on team based shooters, so anyone got the good word on the MP aspect of the game?

Ya know.. I hate growing tired of games.. they really do cost a lot and it just seems like a waste when I don't wanna play them anymore, I might pick up that tetris game too, and see if I can get wifey into something to play w/ me.
