first look at madden 08..............

ign has an article of madden 08 up and its looking real good. i was very dissapointed in the last 2 versions but it looks like there overhauling this version with alot of stuff the fans have been asking for. if your a madden fan this is a must read and its 3 pages long.

This has never been in a Madden Game and I will not believe it until I see it.....
As for AI, You've never feared a cornerback before in Madden, but that's about to change. EA is also rewriting the defensive zone AI to eliminate money plays, especially deep balls and corner routes.

PS this from IGNs preview of Madden 07...
You'll also finally see player-specific animations in terms of running styles. Tiki Barber's character will actually hold the ball up high in his no-fumble clutch. You'll see Shaun Alexander bounce off a linebacker and continue running down field, and the way he's moving, you'll swear it's the MVP. You'll also notice a lot more animations on both the offensive and defensive line.

But the improvements aren't all cosmetic as a lot of work has been done to improve the overall gameplay. On bump and run coverages, the cornerback will actually chuck the receiver and smack him in the chest, impacting the way he runs his route. When you throw the ball deep, you'll see more realistic safety play and help coverage.

I was really caught up in the Madden "HYPE" last year since it was going to be my first Madden i was getting for my 360 & was very dissappointed to say the least. I played only 25-30 games before i put it away for good & for the first time ever i did not play a season as it was just the same old game. So i think i will wait & see what people are saying a month or two after it's release before i buy this year. And hopefully this years game will live up to the "HYPE".

They always hype it. Oh you'll see this & you'll see that. When you get the game you don't see any of that. All Madden BS. Still no mention of refs on the field or nets on the goal posts. Go figure. I'm not falling into the NCAA or MADDEN trap this year. They can keep their subpar $60 efforts. All Pro Football 2k8 for me!!

Allpro 2k8 for me also. I can't wait until EA loses the license for the NFL. I also purchased Madden for the 360 last year, and just can't get into it. I have been a 2K guy since the days of the Dreamcast, and IMO, it is a much more polished game than the Madden series.

Some games (if I do my research again I'll remember) went to the PS3 after the 360. So it's not much of an obvious answer. It happens. I'm surprised you didn't know that. No I'm not.
