While it might not appeal to current 360 owners, it will to those who are going to purchase.

It's a pretty good deal, and you get that really sweet looking black color for the console and controller. Just think about all the extras you are getting for another $80. The 120gb HDD alone is worth more than that in terms of the price difference. The HDMI interface is also great for people who would prefer to have a single cable instead of all of the separate ones. I just think that the mistake here was not giving the Elite an HDMI 1.3 interface so that people who hook up the HD-DVD player could have hooked it upto a HDMI 1.3 reciever in the future that has some of the HD decoders built in.

Damn, if thats the case why not just order it from Amazon? Amazon double boxes it inside a box with an Amazon logo on it. Even better, have it shipped to your work where you can simply hide it into the trunk when you get home. Maybe you can find some games that she'll enjoy playing as well. Or, maybe you can put a guilt trip on her and start talking about all the money she might be spending on her hair and nails. Of course, you could just buy it anyway and then beg for forgiveness
