Default Microsoft Addresses Xbox 360 100 GB Hard Drive Rumor

As per TeamXbox:

Microsoft Addresses Xbox 360 100 GB Hard Drive Rumor
By: César A. Berardini - "Cesar"
Oct. 20th, 2006 8:33 pm
Following yesterday's report on a supposed 100 GB Hard Drive for the Xbox 360 being announced at the Korean X06, we contacted Microsoft to confirm the existence of such accessory.

A Microsoft spokesperson told TeamXbox that "the reference to a 100 GB hard drive in a recent presentation in Korea has been misleading and in fact we have no plans to bring a 100GB hard drive to the market. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused."

misleading? advertising a 100GB hdd on a sign could be called a little more then misleading. maybe they were trying to get free press to take away from the sony launch.

They'll come out with some kind of larger hard drive. They have to, because Sony's got the 60gb. Plus, marketplace takes alot of HD space with their content, they NEED a bigger one. I know I'd buy a 100gb HDD for my 360.

That 100GB drive woudl have cost more than the HDDVD add on and a movie combined! 2.5" drives are not cheap! It may have been something just for developers so that they can store more info on dev consoles. Just an idea.

Na. With the way HDDs are getting cheaper, it should replace the 20gb if and when it comes out.

You can buy a 120MB drive by itself already so it makes absolutely no reason all they would develop and market a 100MB drive.
