As per TeamXbox:
PlayStation 3 Launch Update By: César A. Berardini - "Cesar" Oct. 19th, 2006 5:24 pm Today, at its Sony Gamer's Day, SCEE announced the list of first and third party titles that will launch through the holiday season. The company also revealed the prices of PS3 peripherals and provided more info on its online strategy. The PlayStation 3 launch window software lineup will include 20 titles that expected to retail under $60. The PS3 SIXAXIS wireless controller will sell for $49.99 and soon after launch the company will release a Blu-ray Disc remote control that will sell for $24.99. The first 500,000 PS3 will come packed with a Blu-ray Disc movie, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. There will also be a special memory card adapter that will let you transfer game saves from PSO and PS2 memory cards into the PlayStation 3 and it will sell for $14.99. Sony also reiterated that access to its online network and services will be free and there won't be an equivalent of Xbox Live Gold membership to play multiplayer games, although some special games (ex:MMOGs) may require additional fees. The PlayStation Network will use an interface similar to that of the PlayStation Portable, called Xross Media Bar and it will be broken into three categories: Gaming; Entertainment and Network/Web Connectivity. The user experience will be very similar to Xbox Live; users will create a single id that will let them communicate with other PlayStation Network users as well as acquire content from a store similar to the Xbox Live Marketplace. Below, is the list of PS3 titles that will launch between November 17 and Christmas, 2007: 1.Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII (Ubisoft) 2.Call of Duty 3 (Activision) 3.Fight Night Round 3 (Electronic Arts) 4.The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Bethesda Softworks) 5.F.E.A.R. (Vivendi Universal Games) 6.Full Auto 2: Battlelines (Sega) 7.Genji: Days of the Blade (Sony) 8.Madden NFL 07 (Electronic Arts) 9.Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (Activision) 10.Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire (Namco Bandai Games) 11.NBA 07 (Sony) 12.NBA 2K7 (2K Sports) 13.Need For Speed Carbon (Electronic Arts) 14.NHL 2K7 (2K Sports) 15.Resistance: Fall of Man (Sony) 16.Ridge Racer 7 (Namco Bandai) 17.Sonic the Hedgehog (Sega) 18.Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 (Electronic Arts) 19.Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas (Ubisoft) 20.Tony Hawk's Project 8 (Activision) 21.Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom (Sony Online Entertainment)

It's a decent lineup, although it is somewhat lackluster, of games for launch. I would rather have seen the controller at 40 dollars though given the fact that it doesn't seem as complex, yes I am actually saying this, as the xbox360 or Wii-mote controllers.

If I decide to keep my PS3 preorder, i'll be buying an HDMI/SPDIF switching device along with
1. Resistance 2. RR7 The lineup isn't bad, as there is at least 2 must have games for any hardcore Sony fan. |

Resistance will probably be the only game I buy at launch. I almost never buy games at launch usually I wait for the inevidible greatest hits price drop.

yea certainly a decent lineup, not SUPER STRONG though
.. really hard to tell which is their top game but i would certainly said Resistance and RR7 (refering to PS3 exclusive only). .. wait RR7 is exclusive to PS3 is it????

Genji looks good, they're saying the environments even at 720p are stunning, even though it's the same basic gameplay as the first. That's the only thing that i'd be interested in.
I do not want to play FPS' on a console. On playstation it's always been GT or NFS, never got into RR.

RR6 was exclusive to the X360, and RR7 is unfortunately exclusive to the PS3. It's a shame because I really would like to see that game on the X360. |
