360 + external hard drive...

hey everybody, first time posting here, looks like a great forum....ok, here goes
The 360 has 3 usb ports, im sure you all know that...im getting a 360 as soon as i can, and i have a wireless router at my house that i plug my regular xbox into, and i have a wireless laptop. what im thinking is, could i plug my external hard drive into my 360 and have it on my network? jut incase that doesnt make sense...could i access my external from my laptop? if anyone has any ideas, or can actually try this out...i'd really appreciate it. thanks guys

I could be wrong but im not sure you can connect directly to the laptop if thats what your saying...but you can go to your laptop via the router. You can go to any comp through the router and WMC

USB doesn't 'daisy chain', it needs a 'star' configuration - all devices connected to a HUB. USB doesn't go 'thru'...
