Did you buy the Camaro used? Or did you win it? Either way, you may need to rebuild the engine. I had won a 69 Shelby Mustang and had to rebuild the engine before it was worth driving.

Also, check your oil. You may need to change it. I've noticed on the older cars, it actually does hamper performance. Otherwise, the only things you can really do are lighten it to improve acceleration and top speed and even then, maybe not much.

My driver sucked at the Vitz race also. I've noticed that for pretty much everything b-spec related, I've had to additionally modify the car beyond what I had it at to win. The Vitz, I had to take it all the way out for mods before he could win it. My driver is very methodical. Whereas my approach is to hammer the brakes right before a turn, he starts slowing down WAY before I would, and does so very gradually. Giving commands does affect the way they drive, but you have to do so carefully and thoughtfully because you could end up stressing them out and then they start making stupid mistakes. I've learned not to ever give the "Overtake" command unless he's right on the guys bumper already and it's on a straightaway. But I also find myself telling the driver to "Pace Down" at the beginning of the race because when he's surround by cars, he stresses out (he's apparently a total wuss).

You get new Drivers at b-spec 5 and b-spec 10 for sure. I would imagine it's in every increment of 5, but I'm only at 10 so not 100% on that.

I bought the Camaro new from a dealer.

Well, as new as a 69 Camaro can get. It is awesome for tracks with short straight aways. The power and acceleration is the best I've had so far, but I lose ALOT in the long straight aways. I guess I'll sit on it for now and try out the 62 Buick I won.

I guess I'll just stay away from the Vitz races in b-spec for now and work on the others. My driver also stresses in the crowds.

The 62 Buick Special?? That ride carried me through a LOT of wins in the beginning. Amazing acceleration and top speed. And it corners amazingly well for a boat.

I think that's what it is. I just won it after my last race and noticed it had something like 560hp.

I'm at a-spec level 9 and I'm out of races until I unlock pro. I have enough credits to do it, but I don't want to buy a new car and mod it just to win a race or two in the circuits I haven't completed yet.

So I'm at a point where I need to dick around with the license tests, specials or b-specs and I don't really care for any of these modes.

I don't really understand b-specs. My driver completely dominates when he races my Camaro and TVR, but he can't crack the top 5 in the Vitz races. It's the same Vitz I used. What am I doing wrong? Giving commands does not seem to do anything. When can I get new drivers?

Throw a customizable tranny in the catfish and lengthen your gear ratios out a bit, you'll get more top end... just make sure you have enough power to still accelerate well.

and easily won the first race. I can't wait to drive it now!

I whish I knew more about the settings for the tranny etc. to suit each individual car and each individual track. I am so clueless when it comes this shit.

It's a beast. Hands down... it's a freaking beast.

I think it carried me through most of the Amateur and some of the professional races that weren't car specific. But eventually, you'll get to a point where it will not be able to keep up with the other cars due to its weight.

Just lengthen the top speed out a bit, no need to do individual ratios. As long as you don't get too crazy and have enough torque you'll be good.

Nah, it has an automatic setting based on top speed, it does all the ratio adjustments automatically. Just make sure you don't make the gears too tall or you'll be waiting forever to get into the power band of higher gears (IE you won't accelerate for shit if you put the top speed at 200mph in a 100horsepower lawn mower.

Have any of you guys got the Red Bull prototype yet?

I finally unlocked it last night, 1485HP weighing 585kg! Did a quick test lap on Indy = 275mph on the straights and I managed to hit 309mph drafting as I lapped some cars. I'm looking forward to really playing with it over the weekend it's insane to drive.
