This was in response to "Sorry but I don't mind Cyg hyping 360 games or the 360 itself at all. But it is true that he does troll ps3 threads/games. Anything negative about Sony/PS3 he's ready to post... ever notice the trend with his NPD threads? They never got posted when Sony sold more." There are alot people who do just that against MS. If you're so worried about people sticking up for trolling, then why don't you ever pipe up and mention the stuff that get's said about MS? You could be considered trolling for even making a comment like that.

I'm trolling for pointing out something that Cyg does after he's defended which I don't agree with? He put me on ignore after I pretty much shut him up.

I've been called/accused of trolling plenty of times, don't bother me. I just don't go into threads and try to spin negatives unless I have the product and just inserting my opinion on it (neg or pos). That's why I get called a troll alot - because I don't like the 360 hardware.

There are plenty of times I defend Microsoft's other products (such as Windows 7) and slam them (see my MS rant thread.)

Anything else?

No those shadows are a bit annoying, not as a good as prologue's shadows for sure. Kaz had blamed them on huge light sources and tons of camera angles and says he wants to fix them.

I did read that the first massive update they do will address the shadows. Here's hoping that doesn't take 2 years.

Does anybody actually own BOTH Forza 3 and GT5, or is everyone just assuming their version is better, ignoring any kind of actual comparison?

This is why I hate numbered game ratings... what game is better is dependent on the person playing.

I could say Tetris is the greatest game ever, and to me it very well might be.

GT and FM are both grade A games, whichever one you'll deem is 'better' will be up to you.

Has anybody reached the Extreme series race events yet? I have no clue what I'm going to do for the "Like The Wind Event". I've got a fully modded Bugatti pushing close to 1200HP and it's no match to the full on race cars.

Of course I can't find the damn things for sale in the used car lot and still have a ways to go before I could afford dropping 4 million credits on a new one. I bought a stupid Nascar which I can tell you isn't an easy series. I'm personally putting that one on hold till I get a G27 because it's impossible to win with a controller. Well probably not impossible but I tried a few and it's hard so I just gave up for now lol.

I'm at that crappy stage where my cars kill the pro circuits but I've got dick to compete at the extreme level. I've been running the Extreme Europe event on Nuremberg or however the hell it's spelled. 59K for about a 7 minute race and 3K XP isn't to bad.

I got both. Right now Forza 3 is better because I haven't even touched GT5. haha.

Cata is out, the grind to level 85 > GT5/Forza debates (unless I'm at work

)

EDIT: However, I can say GT5 has a better intro. That much I've seen haha.

Nope. I think they purposely put the cars outside of reach since the licenses tests are no longer required to get to all the races. I ran into that yesterday on the Ferrari challenge. I had one of the 599 '06 models up to like 690 HP which according to the "Typical Opponents" listing was more than enough to beat out the other opponents. But one of the two Enzos in the race would constantly overtake me on the straightaways. I couldn't understand that. So a quick bump to 720 horses and I no longer have that problem.

GT Academy registrations are now open! Time trials begin on the 20th of December I believe and will run to nearly the end of January. Weekly prizes to the top contenders from each region will be awarded varying from: American Playseats, Logitech steering wheels, PSP GT downloads.

Of course the ultimate prize is the chance to become a sponsored driver.

With the 599 completely un-modified, sure. But not with the mods I had in place. At least not according to their listed stats. The game listed the Enzo at 611 HP as a typical opponent. My 599 was already at 690 HP and should have been more than capable of at least maintaining a lead over them. I can understand not getting a 20-30 seconds lead like having 100 HP more would, but I should at least not be getting passed on a straightaway. I thought at first maybe I wasn't actually pushing the button all the way. Since the DualShock3 has analog buttons, I made sure I had it jammed down (GT3 caused me to go through 2 controllers as a result). But I did have it all the way down.
