Default Did Ya Know Eiger used to be a Gangsta?

So I'm cleaning out a bunch of old stuff from my Mom and Dad's that they were storing for me and what do I find? My old custom made sub that I had in the back of my mustang back in 1996.

Damn thing weighs a ton. It would be a shame to get rid of it although I imagine I could get a buck or two on craigslist?

They are dual Rockford Fosgate drivers with a Precision (PPI) power amp that I must have paid a good $500 bucks for back in the day.

Anyhow, figured you guys would get a kick out of it and help me decide what to do with it.

Build it into your baby's crib. I hear that music is good for babies.

Yes! Perfect. And I will rig a continuous stream of Tool to it so that the baby grows up with fine taste in music.

Of course, you and me both. But not when you're 19.

I was going to say.... maybe that is what passes for gangsta in Seattle but in Chicago that is just a big ass sub.... gangsta is drug dealing or stabbing someone, not having a bitchin' system in yr car. Anyway, cool sub. What kinda music do you like eiger? (other than Tool)

Mostly stuff that was local to my area. I'm kinda stuck to most stuff comin out of the 90's. Annoys the hell out of my wife when we listen to the radio in the car

Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Peal Jam. I tried to discover some of the "newer" music but I wasn't able to find anything that I liked. Older stuff I like to listen to are The Doors, Pink Floyd etc

Got tickets for a Roger Waters in December. Should be a good hippy fest.

I'm not sure about now, but a couple years ago that Fosgate stuff from that era (late 90s) was actually selling for higher than MSRP on the second hand market.

Shipping is a bitch, but if you can find a local buyer who's into that stuff you can sell it for a lot more than you probably expect. I'm looking at $500+, maybe up to $1000.
