Default Got the itch for some retro??

I know a lot of people have moved on to emulation on their PC's or Macs (myself included), but I saw this today and thought it was pretty cool. Not cool enough to buy one as I don't have any NES or SNES cartridges anymore.

It's a player that takes both NES and SNES cartridges and has controllers similar to the old SNES pad. For less than $30 it seems like a pretty good deal if you still have any of the actual cartridges anymore.

Link Here...

Nice, I think personally if I wanted retro now, I'd get a GP2X or something though. It's a nice compact little unit though. and I do have NES and SNES carts lying around still lol.

Used on of these at a video game convention I went to months ago. It worked really well. Played NES, SNES and SEGA. Can't go wrong with that.

Edit: This is what I played. http://www.amazon.com/Genesis-Gaming.../dp/B001LVH80M badass

I bought an FC twin last year, I play on it every now and then. It's a cool little machine, it brought back memories playing all the old NES and SNES games..

That's the thing the OP's post reminded me of, I was trying to remember the name!

Don't imagine there is any widescreen support is there? Is it just 4:3?

I would imagine only 4:3. Widescreen TV's were only someone's imagination at the time the NES and SNES were around I would think.

After my last ferret died, RIP Squall, I took over the closet (giant closet, just removed the sliding doors - and no it didn't have the doors when he was alive I'm not cruel ahah) that his cage was in.

It was actually my girlfriend's idea (isn't it nice to have a gamer girlfriend) and we put an old school 32" Samsung CRT dead in the center, the closet is probably...I'd say 6' wide by 3' deep. It's a nice sized closet.

Facing the closet is a cheap little dorm room futon from Target. On the sides we put 3 shelves on each side of the TV, and on each shelf is a retro system.

NES, SNES, Genesis+32x+CD, Saturn, N64, PS2 Slim (wanted a PS1 but the PS2 covers both), in the cupboard of the TV stand 3-DO, and Jaguar (least played haha.)

It's pretty cool. It's in the office and I retro game sometimes when she's working on a project and I'm not in the mood to WoW it up.

(Futon needs more cushioning though.)
