Default All Things Dragon Age!

This is it guys! The RPG of the year is finally getting released this week.

Three reviews live for the PC:

http://www.metacritic.com/games/plat...agonageorigins

No reviews yet for the consoles, unfortunately, they will probably start arriving tomorrow.

http://www.metacritic.com/games/plat...agonageorigins

Let's keep all discussion, reviews, etc in one spot so as not to flood the forums.

So whose getting the game?

Steam.

Did you create this poll just to expose the dirty console peasants? Who buys a game like Dragon Age on a console? Dane Cook maybe, but certainly no one with good sense.

Hur hur hur!

Seriously, I'm looking for the console experience on this one. Baldur's Gate was not my style of RPG. I'm hoping it'll lay similar to Mass Effect.

ME was SOOOO much better on the PC. Yeah it had it's hurdles to jump through like any PC game. But mouse and keyboard along with binding powers to 1-8 or whatever = WIN. Unless you were playing ME1 as a soldier I found it mind numbing to have to fumble through powers on the 360 but loved it on the PC.

Bioware =\= Gearbox

The games is already out there. It's a console -> PC port. Not the fake kind like Randy Pitchford sold a bunch of people, but a real life old school PC game, and it's casual console friendly port.

great I posted a really nice response and the server ate it. So I'll just say I try to ride the fence between PC gaming and Console gaming and where one fails the other succeeds. Just depends on what your looking for in the particular game.

Just 8k? Well, than, I guess you win huh - peasant!

Haha, my Gaming rig alone is close to the 4K mark. Add in the TV, the surround system, and you know...

I thought maybe he meant 8K resomolution or something. Because if he's bragging about spending 8K on an HT system, that's the price of a good set of speakers...

But thats boring! RAH Console gaming!

I was half way towards getting a decent PC gaming rig... then I bought a PSP Go (they're over $300 here) We've moved the furniature around though, and there is now an ideal space to plonk a decent PC setup... PC gaming is looking extremely tempting.

That is just my speakers

I will be playing this game while relaxing on my couch, while the majority of PC gamers will be hunched over their kb/m..

I'm kind of torn. I want to play this from the comfort of my couch. But I saw some video of it running on 360 and I was not impressed by how much back and forth of menus there was. It's just not seamless on the 360 like it would be if it were on the PC.

This would be the first game I play on the new iMac thru bootcamp too. So that means I'd have to procure a copy of Windows and install it, blah blah blah...

Does anyone have links to videos that show actual combat and the menu system? I watched the trailier, but it certanily didn't look like actual gameplay.

After reading several articles I can't tell if the system is more Final Fantasy, ME, Diablo, Borderlands or what. No idea.
