Default Forza 3

Always been a racing game fan... Except for NASCAR racing games. Sorry NASCAR fans.

Anyways, I have become a real fan of the FORZA series for the Xbox360 since Gran Turismo 5 for the PS3 wont be out till 2/2/2010. Which by the way is a long long long long long long time coming...

FORZA2 was great and FORZA3 is even better! I am loving the driving physics and detail in everything they have done. The available cars are wonderful as usual and the tracks are superb.

My only complaint and it isn't even that big of one is the load screen wait times.

This is easily a 9/10 game in my book.

I don't blame you. Why would you want to drive around in a mishapen circle for 200 laps? What would happen to the cars if you get a right hand turn?

Don't knock Nascar because you don't like it, because it is huge here in America. I love it, and I don't know why as I think you kind of have to grow up liking it in order to like it.

I finally was able to get a copy of Forza 3 Friday night as it is sold out everywhere. Even Halo 3 didn't sell out, but I had one hell of a time trying to find a store that still had it in stock. I finally found a Target that had a bunch of copies, and the guy who works in that department said that they just got another shipment in.

I must say that the graphics are unbelievable. I still can't believe my eyes at how beautiful these tracks are, and the frame rates are flawless without a single hitch. I also can't believe how beautiful the cars are modelled, and how awesome the lighting and reflections are.

They have also done an even better job with the audio over Forza 2. The cars now sound much like the real thing as they sounded almost synthetic in F2. They especially did a good job at reproducing the supercharger whine, along with turbos.

My only complaint(a small one at that) is that there aren't enough new racing tracks, but that is a moot point as this game is going to keep me entertained for many weeks. The graphics alone still amaze me each time, especially in the mountain tracks. I can't play anymore right now as I played so long that my wrist hurts...........

Quite a few things are huge in America that the rest of the world doesn't understand

Indianapolis interests me far more in American motorsport. It's just the courses that bore me in Nascar. Get those cars going around some proper racing tracks and it'd be awesome!

I think Nascar is more about the speed and danger than driving as such. Something I don't think translates very well into a videogame.

I think you hit the nail on it's head. That is exactly why you won't see me playing any Nascar simulators on the PC or console. It just isn't any fun as watching the real thing.

Yeah a lot of people watch Nascar just to see a wreck happen. I'm not into it very much (prefer non-oval track racing) but I have to admit it's pretty fun when you're actually at the track drinking.

Anybody catch that epic battle between the porsche and the vette in the LeMans GT2 class a while ago

Who said I was knocking NASCAR? You did, not me not anyone else. All I said was I didn't like NASCAR. That isn't knocking it in any way.

Now if I stated that NASCAR is stupid or was dumb or something of the sort. Then that is knocking it. But suggesting that I don't like it isn't knocking it.

Don't be so defensive. I am not accusing anyone of knocking Nascar but more or less put that first sentence in there pre-emptivly in case someone did decide to knock it

Your words not mine... You were speaking to me and no one else. You may have thought it was generic, but it wasn't.

----------

Also I have found a flaw in the game. While the turboed cars sound great the sound is WRONG.

1. Most production cars that are turboed don't come with BLOW OFF VALVES. Which every single car I have purchased and or won that is turboed seems to have one on stock... Most cars comes with a CBV which recirrculates the excess boost back into the intake track. You don't hear anything unless you have a cone filter on your car that is open to the elements.

2. Again with the turbo cars. At least when using AUTOMATIC transmission when the gears shift you hear the BLOW OFF VALVE go off. I own a turboed car in real life and I have had a BLOW OFF VALVE on it. My car is an AUTOMATIC and the BLOW OFF VALVE doesn't go off when the gears shift. It will only go off when you let off the gas.

And in the game it goes off when you shift gears and also when you let off the gas.

That's kinda nitpicking (although true) the audio. I think audio is one of FM3's best traits, GT should hope to match it!

Speaking of turbos: Still got the BOV? Strap a duck call on it and go for a drive, it's one of the funniest things ever

The audio sounds great!

It is just what I said above that is getting to me because they claim to be the most realistic... Well realiticly a BOV wont go off on an automatic car unless you let off the gas.

No I don't have it anymore. It got annoying and it was leaking vacuum so much that it wasn't worth keeping.

How in the HELL did you know I was referring to you? After all, there were 2 posters before my post and I didn't include any quotations in my reply to this thread?

I think he thought because he was the first, and only one by name, to mention NASCAR, and he was one of the two posters before your post.

Yes, and Mike followed the original poster with his own comment about Nascar, which is why I pre-emptively decided to post my comment.

It doesn't matter to me though as I have no problem with him.

So who's actually playing this game.

It's the best racing game I've ever played.

Talk about content:money on this one. Puts other games to shame.
