Random game tidbits (Unknown Source)

Multiplayer
Grenades actually have physics now.
Unique ghillie suits for each environment.
Maps will have weather effects.
There will be snow maps in multiplayer.

Perks and Killstreaks
A Sentry Gun can be destroyed with anything.
You can use the AC-130 to shoot down enemy helicopters.
It takes two rockets to take down an AC-130 in multiplayer.

Special Ops (co-op)
At first you can only access Alpha Spec Ops missions, you will need to unlock the rest.
Special Ops is just as long, if not longer than Single Player.
There are 3 stars per mission. You get 1 star for beating on Regular, 2 stars for Hardened and 3 stars for beating on Veteran.
Special Ops includes a variety of game types and mission objectives, including Wave Defense.

Weapons and Equipment
Riots Shields have been balanced for multiplayer. You move slow and the shield gets cracks (bad visibility)
There will be a new Thermal Scope attachment.
Many of the Call of Duty 4 perks are now actual attachments to weapons, e.g. Bandolier is now an extended magazine attachment.

Misc
You can view your previous Accolades at any time and see how many of each you've received.
The PS3 version of Modern Warfare 2 will have trophies and rumble support.
The PC version of Modern Warfare 2 will have Prestige mode, just like the console version.
There will be lobby mute.
Max level in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer is Lvl 70.

Not sure if you PC guys saw this yet, but MW2 is being delayed on that platform...

Maybe that'll give us more 360 guys to play with!

Ahh, Infinity Ward. Built there base with the money of PC gamers. Medal of Honor Allied Assault, COD, COD 2, etc.

Now, the millions of PC gamers who are going to buy the game have to wait two weeks because Activision thinks it will curb piracy.

They could do a Steam only release on the same day as consoles and postpone the retail version.

Sure you can pirate Steam games, but it's more hassle than it's worth. Steam usually keeps a small piece of the game on the server side and downloads it into a temporary file when you boot the game. Most times it's date sensitive.

Releasing on Steam first with the full Steamworks DRM (which is fine for us, unlimited downloads on multiple systems like regular Steam) won't completely stop people from downloading the Steam rip, but it's not nearly as juicy as a Razor1911 or a RELOADED.

But hey, I just checked, ODST is being downloaded as I type this by over 200,000 people on a single tracker (ie: there are actually about four times that, as I type this).

Steam DRM >>> 360 DRM against piracy.

As a user, Steam's DRM is completely painless.
