Uncharted 2 reviews roll in- IGN: 9.5/10 [Editor's Choice Award], Games Radar: 10/10

Awww.... that sucks dude. Hey, grab some number stencils and some spray paint and go door to door asking for $5 to paint people's address on the curb in front of their house. Make sure you come up with some sob story about kids and having a hard time getting by. You'd be surprised how many people will say ok and toss you $10 instead

You might get lucky, dude. You know they're gonna raffle off copies of UC2 that night, right (you don't have to play for it. it's open to all attendees i'm pretty sure)? That's aside from the fact they're giving the Fortune Hunter Edition as a multiplayer tourney prize.

WARNING: theres lots of spoilers since the video is 10mins long, it shows alot of gameplay of areas and alot of cut scenes with voice. i watched the whole thing though LoL, i so fucking cant wait

Im surprised it didnt score higher. GT says the game doesnt do anything new but imo just from playing the demo this is the FIRST game to mix 3rd person shooters with platforming perfectly. And theres even a decent stealth system too.
Its Gears of War mixed in with Assassins Creed. I cant think of any one game out there like it.

Have you played the first?

I know I just got done with it like 3 weeks ago and I have to say the beta is not much different than the first. To me the only thing I have noticed is the tweaking of the aim, its slightly more accurate than the first. Its geat but honestly with playing the beta its not a whole lot different than the first, it sounds like the tech is spent on the background and physics because the gameplay is almost identicle.

I dont find it odd to see reviewers stating the same thing as I dont want a whole new experience. I loved the first and want more of the same, just with a new story and slightly better aiming, the platforming was spot on and the camera was as good as its going to get for a tps...

I voted no, but only because I just started playing Drakes Fortune. I think I'm on Chapter 5 (just encountered those swinging wooden spikey trap things, and some fixed machine gunners. I am really liking this game, but with my gaming time so short, it will probably be a while before I finish it. Once I'm done, I'll probably get Uncharted 2.

I REALLY thought Batman:AA had a shot at Game of the Year, then this came around. Batman will win some awards I'm sure but I'm almost positive this will be GOTY.

Well lets hope there is no bias to MW2, sometimes hype alone gets a game a GOTY award, good thing is there are soo many publications who give that award I am sure UC2 will see some love.. Generally it goes to a mega hyped up MP affair and even though UC2 has MP, Sony has dropped the ball yet again with lack of advertising. This is the biggest and arguably the best exclusive Sony has released to date and I have not seen the type of marketing it takes to make this game a system seller...

I don't think I've seen one television commercial for it. And that's crazy. there should definitely be some TV love for a title like this. There is a good bit of online advertising. Maybe they are hoping it will just sell virally.

Strangely enough I haven't seen one either, I have a funny feeling that Sony is going to start advertising the game at launch rather than before (which is kinda dumb) Great commercial though.

why is it crazy? i havent seen not one commercial for MW2 either...

Im sure MW2 will win GOTY only cause....well.... its "call of duty modern warfare 2" ...and thats all, the game could turn out to be not so great and only "ok" but no one will rate it "ok" only cause its "modern warfare 2" ... they'll write up about all the positive things and say that it has some negative things but the positive stuff out weighs it.. even if it is not true. plus MW2 will be multiplatform, theres no way they willl give GOTY to a exclusive title, especially on a sony platform c'mon now LoL

Yea ive seen that one but I had to actively search for a commercial on the interwebz to find one.. I hope Sony does give some hype even if its after the release, as a game like this deserves to be played by anyone who enjoys video games.
