Default How much to replace a Toshiba 62hm84 light engine

I have the chance to pick up a used Toshiba 62hm84 DLP and supposedly the light engine is this issue? I am a HD and DLP noob. If I pick this up what kind of money can I expect to sink into this?

If you need to replace/repair the light engine...chances are it's better for you to buy a new projector.

It was quoted as $775 to do the work. Already got it here so I am committed If I can get the cost down to $500 or less I'll stick with it.

I had a similar issue recently with an LCD projector $750 to replace a board in it. This along with the fact that a new bulb was going to be needed soon (another $300) led me to replace my projector. Many fine projctors are available around the $1000 price range and that is what I chose to do. A new projector with warranty and bulb seems like a much better value.
