What is HD?

I have a Sony CX 70 XGA projector that I want to connect to my 1440x900 laptop to watch movies. It's an Acer laptop with Svideo, 15 Pin D-Sub and DVI outputs. The laptop only has Svideo and 15 Pin D-Sub. I heard you can get a DVI conversion cable but are these worth it and which is better to convert to D-Sub or SVideo?
Which one should I use to get the best resolution/picture? |

Your 15 pin VGA connection is better. S-video is limited to a rez lower than your projector.
