Question Thread Post Title Fix

Mods can fix titles but I don't want to bother them. Can we Senior Members have rights to fix our own titles to our post or thread, say if there was a typo?

If you notice your typo fast enough, usually your edit also works for the list of headlines. Happened to me a few times and i was able to fix it without a mod.

However after some time (maybe a few minutes, i don't know) your edit doesn't show up in the list any more.

How about we try to fix our errors in our posts before we worry about the Thread Titles!

You use to only have 1/2 hour to edit a post but it was changed so you now have 24 hours to do it. To edit a thread title you hit the edit button and then choose advanced edit to modify the thread title during the 1st 24 hours.

I think Tirstir is talking about this thread
http://www.highdefforum.com/no-topic...periences.html
and the hru / Thru thing. He changed the title with an edit, you can see it when you open the thread. But the typo is still showing up when you look at the thread titles in the no-topic forum or even here when you link to it.

Yeah, same thing when I did the UFC 100 thread. I didn't like how it showed up as "Ufc" so I went back and corrected it, but it doesn't show the correction when you are scanning the forums. It does show up as corrected in the post though.

Sometimes letters get cut off.. But if someone reads a post you can't go back an edit the title. Well just have to watch out next time..

Well yes.. Too late for me to edit it as two members had replied in the thread.
