Well some people here do not WANT people to think they are at "that kind of site" since they are NOT. They are at a HD forum and avatars should resemble that type of site it is. I actually had a few people get mad because i told them full nudity avatars are not allowed.

Save that stuff for other forums that have content that matches the avatars is how I see it.

Fair enough, perhaps there should be some sort of default avatar besides the blank screen. Just a thought.

I just think some like to push the envelope with the avatars, and I know some other sites try to limit what they can use and some do not even allow avatars to avoid this type of thing being an issue.

I just wish people would have an avatar that matches the site content and use some of these questionable avatars at more appropriate sites for such avatars. I do not want to blank my screen because my 9 year old daughter or 8 year old son come to give me a kiss goodnight or to ask a question while such avatars are on my screen. Can you image what they would think seeing them?

IMO - they are trying to shock people or draw attention to themselves visually. Like telling a dirty joke to people who you don't know.

This isn't the place for that. And that is why I started this thread. I am glad to see that a few have taken it to heart and changed their Avatar.

Yes - I know you can set up the option to block Avatars like I already block sigs. But I don't wish to do that.

All I am asking is use common sense.

You presume too much...Some people (myself) just see the hilarity in the avatar, no more no less. I have no problem conforming to the rules of the site, I just feel starting a whole thread rather than asking that person to change their avatar is a bit of overkill. If I have a problem with someone whether on the net or real life I approach them first to try and resolve the issue.Since I never received a PM from anyone it didn't seem to be a big deal. Like I stated before I didn't mean for it to be offensive as I pictured 99 percent of the members who browse the site to be hetero males, so my apologies again.

No wonder the album cover I use for my avatar was banned here in the US.. it's disgusting.. kind of like me

All kidding aside, I am pretty I know which avatars is being mentioned here and yes, I find them disgusting.. it difficult to see them when I am taking a break at work cuz I am unable to get up and walk right after seeing them
